been using 230 rn plated and read in past that the 200 swc with bullseye was the most accurate 45 acp bullet so would like to try it. which one is the best. I see grooved and non grooved and looking at the pictures they look somewhat different from each other.

looking for plated or coated unless the lubed offers a specific advantage except for cost.

The SWC from Blue Bullet Co shoot very well for me.

I got a deal on 1500 LSWC and they seem to shoot just as well.

Unless you go to the trouble of sorting brass, trimming, uniforming flash holes, hand weighing charges, and bullets, etc. I doubt you'll find observable difference in performance.

YMMV

I used to use harder 22-24 BHN bullet for 200 gr SWC and I needed to push them harder to obtain bullet base deformation and optimal accuracy without leading (high to near max lead load data).

With MBC's 18 BHN 200 gr SWC (IDP #1), I can use mid range lead load data with W231/HP-38 and faster burn rate powders and still obtain accuracy without leading as softer lead alloy deformed easier.

When I got leading in my oversized PT145 barrel with 18 BHN bullet and W231/HP-38, solution was using even softer 12 BHN 200 gr SWC (Bullseye #1). With 4.8 gr of W231/HP-38, accuracy was good and no leading. Even with a light charge of 4.0 gr Red Dot/Promo, I got accuracy with no leading and recoil was comfortable mild and is my/wife's favorite load for 1911/M&P/PT145.

For me, I have not been able to surpass the accuracy I get from lead loads with plated/coated bullets. With 12 BHN MBC 200 gr SWC, sub 1" @ 15 yards/sub 2" @ 25 yards is very doable with 5.0 gr W231/HP-38 and 4.0 gr Red Dot/Promo (see pic below of Promo targets shot with Sig 1911) - http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?p=9415802#post9415802

The H&G #68, 200 gr. LSWC is an excellent , accurate bullet and many mold manufacturers have a clone of it. I lube mine with Speed Green and size them to .452". No problems and accurate in my 1911, but won't feed reliably in my Ruger P90...

I use the SNS Casting 200 coated LSWC (no lube groove) with just -.001" or .002" taper crimp.
I like VV N310 or Clays more than Bullseye.

thanks for the replies. put in an order for MBC with the promo code for the 200 gr coated with the BH 12 instead of bh 18 then.

You will find that the std lube bullet is more accurate than the coated ones. I've been following them since they came out. The BE shooters have been testing them but none have switch over to them for some reason. Most said their groups opened up.

I use the MBC BE #2 (25 yrds) & #1 (50 yrds). You do want the softer lead since most all BE shooters are shooting below the min recommended starting load. You may need to use a reduced power RS to shoot these. My gun will shoot them with the std 16# RS. I have a slide mounted c-more STS on my gun and use a 14# RS to get a more consistent ejection.
