Anyone have any experience with the models from CZ and Bushmaster? I think DPMS also sells one. I'm looking for a dedicated upper which will mimic the weight, balance, etc of a standard 20'' hbar, just with the little 22lr instead of the "little" .223 I know they are expensive, but trigger time for the lower and the iron sights sounds like a good idea. Same size holes on the target, too :)

Thanks

A good friend of mine has the Ceiner .22 LR conversion kit for his AR 15, and it works perfectly. A real joy, and less money than an entire new upper.

The Bushmaster kit is a Ciener - they work fairly well, but sometimes need a little tweaking. Its about the best Ar15 .22 conversion out there right now, but there are other good things on the horizon.

Or you could just go for broke and get a Lakeside LM-7 beltfed .22 upper...:)

Bushmaster kit = ceiner?

Isn't this thing a full fledged upper with its own bolt, etc?

Just wondering. It looks like it would be perfect for high power training, since it's 20" and heavy, looks like regular A2 sights and all. It just seems like they either haven't sold any yet, or no one who bought one uses a computer will admit to doing so...

I hadn't seen that one. Bushmaster used to sell ciener kits, but I wasn't aware of that whole upper assembly they've got now. Looks like they may have taken a hint from Rick Keuhl's Ciener kit modification.

Shrinkmd,
Don't know much about the others but I've got the DPMS and as weight/balance goes vs a 20" hbar I think it wolud be close. It has a bull barrel but I believe only 16". The handguard is steel as well and that adds a bit of weight. DPMS has high cap mags now as well. I don't shoot it much, would let it go for not too much $.
