Which 22's to start collecting?

Thanks for the reply's. I've been looking at the suggestions. So far as asthetics go, i like the Nylon 66's, Marlin 39a, Remington 5teens, and the Winchester model 52 is absolutely awesome. I really like that one.

I was really looking for a starting place. I havent realized how many nice older 22's there are out there. the collection is more for personal satisfaction/preference.

If your into military rifles, there are tons of .22lr trainers
Some examples are:

Mossberg 44US, 42MB, 144LSa

H&R M12

Remington 513T, 540X

Enfields (lots of different ones)

French 1886 Trainer

Simson & Co W625A

French model 1874 GRAS

This list goes on and on (almost every country has at least one.)
