Have an Uberti 1849 Pocket model Colt on the way.

What size RB do I need? .311? .315? .310? .319?

Historically, .315 and smaller are for .32 caliber rifles and some cartridge firing pistols. Pietta and Palmetto revolvers can get by with .319s but Uberti's, like the originals, use at least a .323.

As always, best way to know for sure is to mike your chambers and slug your bore.

Thanks for the info.

Buckshot is hardened alloy no?

Where can I find a .323 mould?

I have used both Hornady and hand-cast buckshot in my .31 cal opentops. These consist of steel frame and brass frame guns. I have not experienced any problems with either type ammo.
