Gun Wielding Maniac,
You don't want the SG .303 Surplus. It's complete crap. Out of 10 rounds I took to the range, I had 3 misfires (it took 3 tries to "cook" the round off) and 5 hangfires (Click....1...2...3... BANG). That's 8 out of 10. This stuff is generally WWII production and in my humble opinion is NOT safe to fire.
Your experiences and mine differ. I own 5 Lee-Enfields and a P14. I've got around 1200 rounds of the SG .303 stashed in my garage. I've had a couple of hangfires and 1 misfire... but out of hundreds of rounds fired, overwhelmingly the cartridges have been reliable and reasonably accurate. By reasonably accurate, I mean it shoots about on par with the South African.
I've got Kynoch 1952 headstamps, 51 headstamps, and Radway Green 1941,42,43 and 44... as well as some DAG ammo.
