Which gen is this Glock 30.....

Also, if it's anything from the holster,

I draw the same with either.. I compete with a 22 but never had an issue with the 26 or 27. But im considerably slower with the sub compacts. Like you said slow fire I can do fine. But when moving or follow ups I don't do as well. When moving im actually pretty awful with the 26/27. The 29/30 are closer to the 23/19 IMO. Even though Glock calls or used to call, the 29/30 "sub" compact. Odd name since they never made a "compact" 10mm or 45.

But I remember reading many magazines back in the 90s/00s that would post that they shot smaller groups with the 27/26 than the 22/17. Im sure I have some them boxed up. After I got older and could buy some of the guns I read about i started to wonder just how much money manufacturers slipped the reviewers.

I have one where an naa 17hmr was reviewed. The shooter supposedly shot small groups at 25 yards. I cant remember the actual size but it was into full size service gun territory. 3-4 inches maybe.

I no longer get any of those magazines except the few I get from the 2A organizations im a member of. And even those I just look at the pretty pictures. Lol

The S is on the frame . I picked this up because if you look at ejection port it has a KKM precision barrel, worth 200 bucks. I only paid 500 bucks for the gun. Gets here Friday.

The subject G30 seems to be a pieced together gun with a KKM barrel, possibly a G30 slide (as I can't see the detail from the photos); and a G30 frame (which looks to me like an SF profile frame as I can't see the detail in the photos). I've no experience with the G30S and didn't know its frames were marked with an S.

Even so, the essence of a G30S was it using a G36 profile slide. If the slide is a regular G30 slide, then I suppose it'd be a G30S with a G30 slide, which should still result in a good package. A proper extended slide stop (for a G21/G21SF,G30) should work fine in this "build".

The G30S uses the G30SF frame and the frame is marked "SF", slide marked "30S", at least all the ones I've seen and owned. So this looks like a standard G30SF with a replacement barrel. I'm not seeing anything that makes it a G30S.

Great gun. I hope you enjoy it.

Post #28 front of trigger on frame marked "s" from what I can see.Pick it up today so I will know for sure.

It's considered a "Gen3", possibly made in 2010. The model appears to be a Glock 30SF. It's got an extended slide-stop installed and an "optional" 9-round mag. It would have originally come with 2 10-round mags.

2/3/21. OP now says it's an "S" or G30S model. I can't see any letter "S" following the "30" on the slide, but it may be there.

Saw it live today it is indeed an SF gun I could not see the F in the pic. You know your Glocks Johnmcl. Waiting on NICS to bring home.
