Hi, I was wondering which lead bullet everyone likes in their ballard rifled Marlin 336? For me, the 2 options will be the missouri bullet (165 Gr, .309 diameter) or the oregon trail (170 gr and .310 diameter). Are these bullets designed for hunting applications or just targets? The missouri is considerably cheaper and that is a consideration. Thanks, Jeff

Hi ChefJeff-

We can size that bullet to .311 if you want it fatter, no problem. Just give us a couple extra days.

Jeff, try some of the Missouri Bullet sized .309. That's what I shoot in my 303 Sav and they work great. I've also got a microgroove 30-30, and that needs the .311 bullets.

What caliber are we talking about? If 30-30, I like the 170 gr. with a gas check. You can push a gas checked bullet faster.

The caliber is 30-30 and is NOT microgroove. Hi Missouribullet, thanks for chiming in, I plan to call you in a few days to order. Thanks, Jeff
