Life is short and double cavity Lee Moulds are not that expensive ... get several different designs !For target loads in .38 Special the 358-140 SWC is my favorite. It can be used in 9mm also but it's finicky with the OAL.
The 358-125 RF can be used in both also.
The 358-105 SWC is basically the same as the 140 grain bullet but shorter. It works well in 9mm or light .38 Special loads. I've got it close to 1,400 FPS in 9mm with N340 powder.
Choosing one is too hard. Get a couple of them...
I think some smart person said ... Variety Is the Spice of Life ! ... And he is right !
I typically buy a double cavity Lee just to see if I like it ... If I find myself using a lot of that design ... then I will buy a 6 cavity mould . Another trick is to cast with two moulds , filling one and as it cools fill the second ... that helps but as I get older I find myself using the 2 cavity moulds more ... the big moulds seem to wear me out faster , the double cavities still make good bullets .
