Which Lee 358 bullet mold?

For target loads in .38 Special the 358-140 SWC is my favorite. It can be used in 9mm also but it's finicky with the OAL.

The 358-125 RF can be used in both also.

The 358-105 SWC is basically the same as the 140 grain bullet but shorter. It works well in 9mm or light .38 Special loads. I've got it close to 1,400 FPS in 9mm with N340 powder.

Choosing one is too hard. Get a couple of them...
Life is short and double cavity Lee Moulds are not that expensive ... get several different designs !
I think some smart person said ... Variety Is the Spice of Life ! ... And he is right !
I typically buy a double cavity Lee just to see if I like it ... If I find myself using a lot of that design ... then I will buy a 6 cavity mould . Another trick is to cast with two moulds , filling one and as it cools fill the second ... that helps but as I get older I find myself using the 2 cavity moulds more ... the big moulds seem to wear me out faster , the double cavities still make good bullets .

This was definitely the way when molds were 20 dollars. Dam inflation now there 40. Getting a two cavity is definitely a good way to look for a good fit. I then look for a brass 2 cavity at arsenal or noe.

Is the rossi still breaking firing pins... my dad had one and the fp were getting hard to find. The stainless do look wonderful. I prefer the 1894 marlin so easy to take down and clean.
Mine didn't break a firing pin yet. But I did break an ejector. I bought one for a 92 and fitted it.

That's
I have Lee's 158-125-RF, 2 cavity mold. The drop nicely. And their easy to coat.
I haven't shot any out of 38 or 357 yet. But they have done well shooting out of 9mm and 357 SIG. :)
That's good to know. My wife has a 9mm. But she is still working on ammo from sales during Trump time.
I will eventually load for it.

I shoot the Lee 358-125-RF out of several (more than 6) 9mm handguns. From milsurp (Star 30M and BM; among others)to an SCCY and a Shield.

Tumble lubed, sized to .358.

They all eat it like candy. No problems.
