Which M4 grip do you prefer and why?

I have the Hogue M4 grip. It feels very ergonomically comfortable and has a nice nonslip grip to it.

I personally prefer the plain-jane MOE grip. It's simple, inexpensive, textured nicely, and sized just right. I also don't care for the seams on the MIAD.

The MOE grip replicates the "medium" size of the MIAD. So, unless you have very large or very small hands, or just have to have the finger groove, the MOE is what I recommend.

The army only issues one M4 grip so I would pick that one. On the AR I had I loved the MIAD grip.

now that the pedantry is out of the way...

HA..over on my college football board people are arguing "hook and lateral" versus "hook and ladder". I said something about pedantic semantics and mentioned "clip" for "magazine and "pistol" for "revolver"

Anyway, I've only used an MOE+. After I bought it I thought I had made a mistake and was thinking about ordering a MIAD...but as soon as I felt the MOE+ on my AR-15 I knew it was just right. I like the texture, I like the thickness, and I am not sure I really need finger grooves.

I would like to try the BCM grip as well.

The stock grip on my M&P 15 was too small for me, and I have biggish hands. The MOE is perfect. The MOE handguard is also a nice improvement and very affordable IMO.

I have both the MOE and the MIAD as well. Both are great grips, and I would like to try the MOE + as well. Sorta like a Houge/Magpul offspring. Anything but the standard M4, IMHO!

are you one of those guys who does whatever the army does because the army does it?.. i cant stand people who place an obsession with being military over having a rifle thats more ergonomic and better to shoot... not all equipment the military uses is the best equipment available

I hated the stock A2 grip on my gun. I upgraded to an MOE+ grip along with a magpul trigger guard. I really like it. It has no finger grooves and the rubber over mold is just sticky/tacky enough + kinda cushioned, and it doesn't rub the top of my middle finger raw. The reach to the trigger seems a tad longer, too, which is nice

personally, i like the ergo grips, and the SAW style grips.. i know a lot of people dont like the saw grips.. but i have pretty large hands and they fill it nicely... and thats a point that should be made.. what feels my hand nicely, might be too large for you, and what might fit your hand just right could be like holding a paintbrush to me... youll have to find what fits best, and whats most comfortable

I am really not very picky on grips. I can do just fine with about any of them. The way I see it, it's just a place to hang your bottom 3 fingers when shooting. But I do like having one with a storage compartment inside it, because it is a handy place to keep a small bottle of lube (gotta keep that bolt wet). Being that the MOE is the cheapest one that has a compartment, I went with it on my current AR and like it just fine.

I thought the stock grip felt too small (I have large hands). The Hogue felt too small as well. Next, I tried the Ergo Tactical, that felt too fat. Next came the standard Ergo, I like it and now have one on my Saiga as well.

I currently use MOE and BCM Mod1 depending on the trigger in the gun.

In the past I've used a wide range and most of them were just fine. The one I would avoid is the CAA with the funky removable front and backstraps - they were always loose and generally junk. I prefer one-piece grips, although the Magpul MIAD seems OK if you really want adjustments.

I like the standard MOE but that is just what I am used to. I don't like too much rubber of finger grooves, because depending on what gloves I have on, they don't always work.

I have big hands and find that the Ergo Tactical and standard both feel good to me, much better than the standard A2 grip. Original MOE grip worked well for me as well.

Nope, I love to mod out my rifles. That said if the army gave me a M4 my grip options would be very limited. Of course maybe the OP is a secret squirrel operator and has the option to change grips or I am just being pedantic :)

Jason, take a deep breath and look very carefully at the stuff dripping from his post. Do you see it? That would be sarcasm (at least I hope so, anyway, otherwise I agree with you). :D

I believe he was saying that M4's only come with one grip but there are many AR15 grips (that would also technically fit an M4).
