Which Magazine Loader?

I currently have two Maglula UpLULA loaders in my Midway cart, one "standard" and one "baby". The standard is my second so that I don't have to move the loader from bench to bag. BTW, I order bright colors when available so that they are easy to locate in dark bags.

I also have the 10/22 version. I love'em all but I would kill for the 10/22 version. I have several BX-25 magazines and they are a pain to load by thumb...

The baby is great for .380 mags. Works ok on SOME .22 mags but not all. There's also a full-size uplula with a thinner metal tab/follower pusher downer thing for glock 22 mags and the like. It works pretty well for my 1911 .22 conversion.

I agree on the Uplula. But I bought mine off Amazone and now I have to try to figure out if mine is a fake or the real deal. Dang it.:fire:

Get the UpLula in a very bright color (Neon Pink, Orange) to keep your range buddies from stealing it!!

Great Loader!!
I really like the colored UpLula models. My daughter has a pink one. Wife likes her OD green model. I have a couple black ones and my new personal fav, purple! But I'm eyeing that neon green...harder to lose that one!

But I will NOT be buying that burnt orange model because....Go Aggies! Beat the Longhorns!!!

Read the fine print; there should be 'made in Israel' or 'IMI' on it. How much did you pay? The genuine ones are in the $30 range, or more.
The counterfeits are reputedly junk, so that is another way to tell! ;)
Yeah, the Israelis make good stuff. When you're encircled by enemies, your (redacted) has to work.

If you have a Sportsman's Warehouse near you, they often have the UpLulas in stock, but they sure do seem to sell out quickly. For those who like immediate gratification rather than waiting for the mail or the brown trucks or white vans...

I just had to quote this as it bears repeating:
I always find it a bit of a head scratcher when I find folks on gun forums are buying their gun stuff from Amazon and not Brownell's, MidwayUSA, Top Gun Supply, Wilson Combat, etc.
Let's give our money to those who support our movement. I'd add Greg Cote LLC, CDNN, Proven Arms and there's more whose names escape me at the moment.

OK looked at mine. Says made in Israel on it. I paid $30 for when I got it. So I'm good on it. I learned about them from watching Hickok45. Boy howdy do they work good too.

Your best bet to get the real thing would be to order from a dealer like MidwayUSA.
Amen.

Not so much to keep others from grabbing so much as to be able to spot the thing in a dark range bag or a corner of an ammo can.

unanimous support for a single product.
When it works . . .

Where it shines best is double-stack, single-feed magazines which always have issues getting the last nn rounds in the tapered top of the mag.

I'm not as sold on double-stack, double feed mags; when they get ugly (for me) it's usually only the last couple-three rounds, and I'm ok with that. (Those 60 round AR & AK mags, yeah, you're wanting a loader.)

Ahem, as Class of '82, the preferred phrasing is "Beat The [heck] Outta" [:)]

I know you already bought one Driftwood, but I am another UpLula fan. Best mag loader I have found. I have yet to break one. I only have one but bought 3. One grew legs and I left one at the range and someone took it. I got the lime green one for my last one. I plan to buy another 2 so I have one for each range bag.

The Uplula is great. They don't sell on Amazon, Ebay or facebook so any you find there are fake copies.

Depends on the seller as originals and fakes are available on Amazon and eBay. They don't sell direct on those sites but reputable resellers do. Definitely worth doing your research though. I have a sellers account at Amazon and setup was extremely simple and fees for selling are absurd.. I sold what I needed and moved away from the platform

Your post prompted me to order the single stack adapter. I’ll have $45 wrapped up in the outfit
That's about what I have rapped up in mine. The single stack adapter works well works equally well on my 9mm and my .380 mags. Love my UpLula every time I use it.

Thanks Everybody
I went to Midway USA and ordered a Maglula UpLula this morning. I ordered it in dark green, couldn't quite bring myself to order the pink one, but at least it won't be basic black.

Plan on putting a bright colored tape highlight on that loader - otherwise it will hide in the recesses of the range bag.
You will be amazed how well it works - enjoy.

My Maglula/Uplula was delivered yesterday. What an ingenious item. I wanted something that would work on a single stack Kimber 9mm. It works. I’m waiting on the single stack adapter which should help.

Uplula. They also have an (unnessary IMO) insert for single stack mags.

My dad had a similar issue with his Wilson mags for his CQB and the uplula fixed it for him.

I always find it a bit of a head scratcher when I find folks on gun forums are buying their gun stuff from Amazon and not Brownell's, MidwayUSA, Top Gun Supply, Wilson Combat, etc.

My anti gun MIL will give me Amazon gift cards for holidays (she would NEVER do so for Brownells or Midway). I make sure to buy something gun or knife related with it. Christmas was an Olight Valkyrie 2, Chinese I know but they do work well.
