Which of your guns was really worth the wait?

The M-4'gery in 6.8 SPC I built two years ago. I was working away from home and would order $100.00 or so of parts/tools/etc. every month and have them shipped home. When I finally got home it was like Christmas in November. Putting it together and sending those first rounds downrange was a wonderful experience.

My Grail gun is not here yet...have waited a long time!

And there is a twist.............:uhoh:

My Grail gun for years was the H&K MSG 90 .... which I discovered is not available to civilians due to trigger group .... :(

I always wondered why when I posted pics of it on THR there was "zero" response to it.

So anyway .... My Grail gun has become its prodigy from which it was created..
H&K PSG1 ( I know $$$$$$ - but thats why they cal it a grail gun - right!)

50 round group of just over 3" @ 300 meters.....

Maybe one day? :)

But until then I have many more easily attainable ones! :D

My CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow. Expensive (from a student's point of view), my first gun, and was also rather hard to get given the local gun laws.

In 1966 I went to work as a cop. I fell in love with another feller's Combat Magnum, but newly married on $390 a month wouldn't buy much.
40 years later I finally bought one and now I have three.

I carry a 2 1/2" mdl 19 every day. It was worth the wait.

Marlin 39A and Marlin 1894CSS were both very much worth the wait.

Could have got 'em a bit cheaper if not for said waiting...

Wanted a Ruger SP-101 in .22 back when they made them the first time. Will probably pick up one of the new ones - if only for that reason.

Don't have any more grail guns right now. Takes a bit of the spice out of looking around. :(

My 870.

It was the first gun I ever purchased, and took a while for me to have the money, then to find one within my budget. Found one new that fit the bill, and it's the one gun that will ALWAYS go to the range with me.

Actually it was for two. I had pestered my non gun person neighbor for years about buying a JM Marlin Ballard #5 Pacific in .45-70 and hinted at a Colt SSA Model P in .44-40 he had inheriterd when his stepfather died about 20 years ago. Had all but given up when he came over with them one day and offered me a deal I could not refuse.
