Which would be the best ccw? Both fit my hand well. This piece would go into carry rotation with my P239 .40/.357sig. The G33 could be set up like my Sig, .40/.357sig/9mm all bar-sto barrels. I think I would go w lone wolf for the Glock bc they are less expensive. But on the other hand the 10mm is such an awesome round and I could also get the .40 barrel for it.

The G33 allows you to convert laterally to 40sw and downward to 9mm which may mean more practice, whereas, the G29 you can convert downward to 40sw, 357s. I love both, but in this case for CCW, I would go with the 357 because you have 3 of the best ccw rounds possible and the benefit of 9mm practice. The G29 provides you with 3 wicked calibers but the 10mm is not one I would pick for CCW, definatley woods, but not CCW. And finally the G29 is quite a bit larger and thicker than the G33.

33 is easier to carry. And it's really handy. There are so many more cheap and useful accessories for it, compared to the 10mm/.45 GLOCKS. Mags, extensions, holsters, et all.

For CCW, you would probably do ok with .357 or .40, so why carry the extra weight?

Tough choice, I prefer the G29 for out in the woods.

The G33 & G27 for around town. Mostly because they are smaller and easier to conceal.

My vote would be buy both. :D

G33 or G29

The G33 will definately conseal more easily.

Summer G33
Winter G32
Woods G20
Getting traded G17! :scrutiny:

For a serious use pistol, stay with a mainstream chambering. Stop screwing around with boutique cartridges and get a 27.

Not sure I would call the 357 Sig a boutique cartridge since more than a couple LEO agencys have adopted the 357 Sig.

For example, United States Secret Service, US Federal Air Marshal Service, Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration, Texas Highway Patrol, Montana Highway Patrol, North Dakota Highway patrol, Virginia State Police, New Mexico State Police, North Carolina State Highway Patrol, Tennessee Highway Patrol, Delaware State Police, Rhode Island State Police, Madison Police Department in Madison WV, Bastrop County Texas Sheriff's Office, Alameda County Sheriff's Office, Chicago Transit Authority, Pennsylvania Game Commission, Canadian Forces Special Operations unit Joint Task Force 2 all issue the 357 Sig.

Unless my math is flawed 20% of the state police agencys in the nation are now issuing 357 Sigs.

if you don't reload, most factory 10mm is downloaded to near 40cal specs, so there's no point.

This notion is not entirely true. While many standard 10mm loads from the big three are weak, there are plenty of full house 10mm options out there... DoubleTap, Buffalo Bore, Corbon, Win SilverTip, Reed's Ammo, etc...

As far as using 10mm for CCW, I would not. After conducting some 10mm performance tests, I just don't feel too god about packing it around in public. I use it as a woods gun for defense or hunting, and also as a home defense gun. For CCW around town, it seems that the G33 would make more sense to me.

Why not? Unless you only run FMJ, an appropriate bullet will limit penetration. With the added velocity/energy of the 10mm, you get to choose either deeper penetration or more violent expansion. Or you can download it. With the smaller cartridges, your options are fewer.

People who like the 10mm like it for that versatility.

To me, the only arguments against it are ammo cost (it's not that bad) and people who's hands are too small for .45/10mm frames
