I have decided to upgrade my AR-15 from a low-end 'MODEL1' M4 Carbine upper to something a bit more heavy-duty.

I can't decide between this:

or something very similar except it has Denny's Operator Barrel and LaRue 9.0 advertised for $680.

Keep in mind, neither choice includes the BCG. I will purchase that from Bravo for $130.

If you recommend the upper from Bravo, what free-float handguard rail would you recommend? I saw this one:

Anyone heard reviews from this?

So it comes down to spending $675 or $810 -- is Denny's that much better?

The Operator is just a match grade barrel with chrome-lining and 4150 steel. That is where most of the extra cost comes from. The Bravo company is just your standard GI barrel - still quite good (my guess would be 1-2MOA for 5rd groups at 100yds using match ammo) but not up to the same degree of accuracy.

I guess if I were buying, my first question would be "Can I consistently shoot MOA or better as a shooter?" If so, then my second question would be "Will I want this rifle to consistently shoot MOA or better?"

If the answer to both questions is yes, then you may want to consider the Operator.
