I'm torn what rifle to buy (one this month & I'll probally pick up my 2nd choice ~Feb.).
Purpose will purely be plinking and target shooting. Ammo must be suitable for indoor use (so no 7.62x39 etc).
Thoughts? Price is a consideration. Fun factor is the second consideration.
The PS90 seems like the most fun, but ammo is the most $ and the gun itself is the most $.
FAL's price is right, but just kinda bleh on fun.
PTR's price is just as attractive & I'm luke-warm on the fun.
XCR looks cool (=+fun factor), kinda pricey.
SLR-106FR, price is certainly right. Good platform, but I already have an ak (albeit in 7.62, so I can't use it indoors & I don't get to an outdoor range more than ~3-4 times a year). So fun is higher, but it is somewhat of a rehash whereas the others are all new (only other rifles I have are several AR types).
Sig 556 is going for far too much atm, so no go for the moment.
Thoughts? I'm sure most here are either 1) tired of posts like this or 2) enjoy helping spend others $$$.
