I'm all of 24 now. Life ain't too bad. Happily single. Working for the Man these days in various capacities.

Plotting and scheming to escape the rat race, looking to get involved in a small business. Eventually, I'd like to buy a plot of land and make a living doing metal and leather work.

Okay my turn.

34 yr old married (11 years on July 17th) father of two beautiful daughters (7 and 2).

I teach high school chemistry here in Oklahoma which is the main reason that my wish list is longer than my invertory. The other reason is that I can't stop spending money on my other money sponge, an '86 mustang GT w/410 windsor.

Almost forgot my dog. She's a registered American Pitbull Terrier. She's a real killer. You could clean my house out with a newspaper as your only weapon. Just don't sit down. She's a lap dog. 48 lbs of pure muscle. (no 100 lbs ghetto pits here)

34
Divorced Female w/boyfriend
College Professor-Chemistry
One fat cat
SUV and BMW F650CS motorcycle

My earlier guns were gifts from Dad (he owns a store)
I bought 2 or three during a buying binge during/after the divorce (see SUV and motorcycle above)
Last couple have been gifts from the boyfriend.

Right now I'm paying off the SUV and BMW, moving and saving for a home, so no new toys for me for a while. Gun-wise I've got what I need to compete and carry. I'm hoping that Dad will play Santa and help me get a reloading press (Daddy's Girl and proud of it!).

I've got like 9 or 10 guns and about 10 or 11 guitars (i've been playing for 6 years).
Cool, what brands/models? I have been playing the electric guitar for a while now, I have a gibson voodoo SG. Guitars and firearms are two of the greatest things in the world

Talk about a blast from the past.

Alright, that's me...

23 yrs. old, single , no kids. Ex-federal law enforcement, now getting into private security for a year or so. After that I'll hopefully be hired by our local PD.

Hobbies: computer stuff, shooting, martial arts (sort of), sports, cooking.

1 rusty old Volkswagen, 0 guns (because I'll have to wait another couple months for that "privilege"), no debts.

Currently live at my parents' place until I get into police service again.

Okay, time for an update...

25 years old now (obviously :)), got hired as a patrol officer by the local PD (rural county in Northern Germany) last year. Also conduct the firearms training and qualification for my unit.

Still single, still driving the old Volkswagen but acquired some guns (see sig line) and now live in my own place again.

Regards,

Trooper

Native Tennessean, and oh how I miss the South Way! My wife has a large yank family, and sadly I don't have much family left back home (no work in my field either), so now we call Essex County MA home. We're heavy into camping, hiking, biking, etc (anything outdoors) I read alot. I'm a gearhead, and (likew I said) I grew up in TN, so still a big NASCAR fan (just the racing, not the new improved Hollywood NASCAR crap). My wife still takes my breath away after 17 years; she's intelligent, interesting, quirky, funny, beautiful, and she's probably the best person (and mother) I've ever met. I'm a very lucky man.

28 yo male, been married for 6.9 years to a wonderful woman who actually enjoys shooting with me. One child, an 11 mo. old son (his first gun was bought before he was born), one dog, two cats and a snake share our home.

What do I do? The long and complicated version is I am the Director of Admissions at a residential treatment center that treats adolescent boys with severe emotional, behavioral and mental issues.

The long and simple version is that I do the intake and marketing for a facility that houses and treats male teenage male sex offenders and other male teens that are disrespectful, aggressive, disruptive, and half of which will probably end up in the state pen.

The odd thing is that I love my job.

I've owned over 150 guns, but I spent 25 years

doing so, spent money on little else, gunsmithed them myself, and never had more than a dozen at a time, and rarely more than a half a dozen. I'm 52 years old, married, and in sales. Most of my life, I was a laborer-truck driver, altho I've been a semi-machininst-welder as well. I've never spent more than $600 on the initial purchase of a gun, and only a couple that were that much, but many were $300-$400 back when that was about 3x as much in today's money. I always bought "used" when I could, and later spent money on trigger parts, accessories, luminous sights, scopes, etc.

I've been married almost 11 years now. My son was born on the 4th of july and I was born on flag day. I earned an associates at kent state in criminology and minored in psyc, switched careers, no more job. I am going into the medical field now in radiology and ct scanning at North central state.I have a cumlative 4.0 avg with just clinicals left and the anatomy but the wait is a long one so Im working in a factory till I can get into clinicals, making 7 bucks an hour which was about the only thing around here that would accomidate my hours needed for schooling and work. Once I graduate, I'll be helping people and bringing in some decent pay, which is what I enjoy doing.

wifes off work thanks to the cuts. shes got a state lisc to be a social worker and a bs degree from Bowling green. no easy money here. In fact, I just cashed in some stocks to pay off some bills and do home and car repairs. I spent a fraction of it on a mauser, which is all Im getting for a long time.

In the 1 1/2 years since I responded not much has changed.

I had a new job- a year as an insurance adjuster with a state owned car insurance company (they insure drivers who can't get insured through private insurers). I left that job a week ago and I am looking to get a position in mental health or education so I can go to a real psychology masters program (the counseling program I spent a few months in when I answered this question before was an online program- a "real" program too, but not so respected) in about a year then from there a Ph.D. program.

I'm no longer 33, I'll be 35 in just a couple weeks.

About the only thing different otherwise is I've sold a few guns, bought one or two others, and I have a new car.

Actually, girlwithagun, I'm the same guy(different user name) that you felt made TOO much money, when you asked a similar( more dollar related) question at GT a while back. If I remember right, you seemed to think anyone making more than a few times more than you were "obscene". I just happened to put "this" post together with "it", tonight!

Real name is Chris

Look down at my signature for my age

I fix computers (a gunpowder geek) and have a paper route for money - my parents help me with buying the guns and ammo

I have been target shooting for 4 years and can blow a center out with even the worst guns

NOT TO FORGET: I have a dog named Ted

I am a 38 y/o bail agent, I own three bail agencies in CA, I am a Private Investigator and when time permits and situations demand I am a Bounty Hunter.

I have been married for 16 years, to the same woman(!), have 3 children, 15 y/o boy, 9 y/o boy and my 4 y/o baby girl and a dog. I live in the high profile murder capitol of the country (Modesto, CA).

Guess I could afford to add to my collection but I've been getting rather distracted lately, haven't bought a firearm for a little over a year and a half. But, I am looking for a S&W 1911 sc...
