Married, no kids.

Got all the guns I need. Mostly shooting .22 rifle these days, sharpening up skills for silhouette.

Me

Somehow I married the girl of my dream 36 years ago. Long red hair, alabaster skin. I just lucked out..as her beauty is not just skin deep, but extends to every aspect of my life. I doubt seriously you'd be anticipating and enjoying each of my posts were it not for her. (Har!)

Three exceptional children. Living and working in New York, Bahrain and Zurich. One Grandson.

Successfull career in broadcasting allowed me to direct Ron Howard, have lunch with Joe Louis, Hank Aaron and Walter Payton, produce songs with Willie Nelson..well, the name dropping could go on for pages, but why do that? This is about me.

I've found as I grow older the company of my pets is preferable to that of most people I meet: "We who choose to surround ourselves with lives even more temporary than our own live within a fragile circle."

All organized political partys are pretty much the same. You really do get back what you dish out. Maybe not right away, but eventually.

I covered the war in Vietnam. Couldn't serve due to Polio as a child, so I did what I could do..objectively. One spot Really is as good as another. Save as much as you can. Try not to use credit cards..unless you can pay the balance off. More often than not it isn't what you have, but what you don't have that matters. Like debt, poor health and being stuck with a jerk in the next seat on a long trip.

Love firearms. Especially handguns. Shoot for the pure joy of it. Some of the finest peope it's been my pleasure to meet enjoy the same pursuit.

Take Care

62 years old, tired, retired, I have a dog, a rat terrier, I have my guns, my loading equipment and live less than 6 miles from the range. I try to shoot everyday but sometimes miss as much as two times a week. I pipelined for a liveing, worked in most states includeing the big one in Alaska, life is a fleeting thing, grab it by the horns and wrench every bit of joy you can from it. It will end soon enough. Try to be kind to those who are less fortunate than you are, every life is a story, some are just prettier than others.

I'm 65, been retired since 58 from the chemical industry. Married to same woman for 36 years and have two college educated sons, both still single(I will take offers). Wife still working with a good job in the pharmaceutical field. I am comfortable since our house and cars are paid for, but still can't buy as many guns as I would like. I have an agreement with my wife now, for every gun that comes in, one must go out. Thank god all my Ruger Flat Tops and Number Ones look alike.

I'm 63 yo And have been married for 39 years. I'm retired but the wife still works. I was a professional photographer. Now I only take pictures of family especially Grand kids

I do contract weddings for other studios one day a week and use that money for hobbies, special treats, and other non line items ( family expences).

My two sons are out, married or nearly married. And both make more money that I ever have. The only thing left at home is 2 dogs and one cat.

I have one child (son) he'll be one in a couple of weeks.

I am not married but been with the same woman for 4 yrs. Engaged for 2.

As far as handguns go I dig SIG's but I am starting to get some intrest in wheel guns. I think my next purchase is going to be a 625.

I find myself becoming my father really fast.

I save money 'til it hurts and could care less about what I drive, wear ect..... my retirement savings is already enough to make some of the 40-something's I work with envious. I want to retire by 55 and live comfortably the rest of my life doing what I want.

I am a 36 year old white male 6' tall about 250 lbs brown hair turning grey but not balding! A little fat around the middle but I can still bench press a transmission when I put in a clutch. I cut & split all my own firewood. Married, wife is a veterinary surgeon, two kids, 3.5 year old girl, 6 mo old boy. 2 dogs, 6 cats, 1 ferret, 1 chinchilla. Live in middle of nowhere in Central Ohio. Like to tinker with mechanical items, I own a new Toyota Tundra truck, and about 45 other various cars and trucks including 3 Toyota Land Cruisers... I also tinker with lawn mowers, tractors, forklifts, industrial machines, etc. so behind my garage looks like a junkyard- I just can't turn down free or almost free machines.
I am an industrial automation engineer/Systems integrator (Replacing YOUR job with a robot since 1995!). I am currently working for a very large financial institution as a service engineer. Have worked as a tow truck driver, auto mechanic, junkyard scrap cutter, heavy machinery mechanic, home improvement contractor, landscaper, medical machinery manufacturer, garbage equipment dealer/mechanic, used car dealer, industrial electrician, and more than I can rememebr. I stay busy.
Don't shoot as often as I would like. Carried on a Florida nonresident CCW for years but now have my Ohio CCW.

Number of years I have carried concealed, off and on: 13 years
Number of times that a discreet display of being armed has prevented actual problems from escalating: 3

I am 23, male. Single like you wouldn't believe. I'm a laboratory technican who travels around the country working wherever my company sends me for three or four months at a time.

Born and raised in countries that didn't allow guns. Have been in the US since late last century and consider sweet corn, inexpensive milk, and RKBA the chief reasons for staying on. Used to have cheap gas on my list, too, but we all know what happened.

Software engineer by profession, and working on the fringes of aerospace industry. One piece of work I'm particularly proud of was put to good use in Afghanistan and Iraq lately.

Married and have a son who will be 2 later this month. Looking forward to the day he is old enough to shoot with me.

Just seeing this thread for the first time:

Fifty six years old...retired LEO..four great kids...one greater wife. My wife is the Navajo and I am the Pale Face.:D

I am actively involved with various veterans organizations and currently the Commander for my local VFW. It keeps me busier than I care to be but it's a rewarding volunteer position.

My wife is a quality inspector for a large defense based electronics producer but she has worked on many of the space shuttle programs, the space station program as well as in the development of the Land Warrior personal weapons program.

We enjoy riding our utility quads over the thousands of back trails in the Bradshaw Mountains and the New River Mountin area.

We own a lovely home in the boondocks where our nearest neighbor was nameless until recently and the nearest living creatures are Cougar, Javelina, Jack rabbits, quail, dove, coyotes, and an occasional rattler.

The most disturbing sound is a rare distant over-head jet and the wilderness if full of fantastic natural sounds.

New guns are few and far between, but I shoot the heck out of the ones I have.

I'm 24 full time college student,
currently studying film, but spent three years in electrical engineering before I decided I wanted something different.
engaged to be married.
used to do sheetmetal fabrication and machine work but too buisy with school right now.

for cars n stuff
2 daily drivers (for me n the misses)
1 plymouth trailduster 4x4
1 dodge dart with 383HP motor
2 motorcycles

I have a good mess of guns (20ish), all shooters. Built up my collection almost entierly buy buying or being given broken guns and fixing them up. I havn't bought a gun in a while, I'm looking for a pair of cz52's, they're cheep and good.

as with anything if you know how to build it its way cheeper, besides guns just don't cost that much. most expensive gun i ever bought was about 500 for a 38 super colt, second most expensive was 200 for a ruger 10/22 with scope, haris bipod, and extended buttpad. after that it was 160 for a 1903 colt .32 auto. and none of these needed any work.

The difference between buying guns and buying cloathing (as I keep telling my fiance) is that the gun I spent 500 bucks on is still worth a minimum of 500 bucks and people would jump to get it. how much is a used designer top worth? 5 bucks at goodwill?

latest project is a mini 14 that spent 10 years in the bottom of a river, once I broke the bolt free ad cleaned her up, she worked just fine. probably going to rebarrel tho. but since the gun was free or just about, the thirty to sixty bucks for the barrel isn't all that bad for a good shooting gun.

I'm trying to learn how to play the guitar, I have learned one song so far, 99 Red Balloons - Goldfinger
I mow yards and such for money

and..... thats about it. :-l

I'm 30, and work as an academic librarian in Western PA. Engaged; 2 kids; many pets; many bills. I bought guns in a wild flurry when I first got into the...hobby? Fascination? Obsession, perhaps? Now, I am trimming the collection as I find I don't have time to use what I own.

Looks nice in the safe, though. And...sigh...I could use the money.

A lot of the people on here seem to talk like they have unlimited means to buy guns, which got me wondering....

How old is everyone?
What kind of job do you have?
Married/single/family?

Unlimited means? Girl, that is why we're HERE and not at the range! Most of the chitchat here is about what we WANT, not what we HAVE!!:D

As for me, I'm late 30s, an underpaid history professor (yea, there are some of us who are "real" and not like Michael Bellesiles, author of Arming America, which should have been named The Next Great American Fraud). I have a wife who doesn't hate guns but is afraid of loud noises, and a daughter who loves to shoot, but is cross dominant (right hand, left eye dominant) so she can't shoot long guns too well. It makes her a heckofa batter, though! Her dominant eye is focused on the ball when it is pitched to her!

Howdy,
I'm 36, an auditor for the US Treasury Office of Inspector General. Live in MD and commute to DC.

Single, no kids, have a mortgage on a house, car's paid off.

4 Longarms, 6 Handguns.

I actually registered back in '03, made a WTB post, and then wandered off. I'm back now.
