The race for makers to have the oddest cocking serrations are like those myriad of stupid looking rims I see in certain parts of my city.

Bling is bling. Just like most fishing lures are designed to catch fishermen and not fish. I often wonder as I'm handling the different brands at the local gun shop on Saturday afternoons, if the difference in the serrations have a technical purpose or are only cosmetic, and if the person that designed them was a gun tech or a graphic designer.

Does make for an interesting thread tho.........

It makes a difference IMO.

my M&P has a very aggressive bite to it opposed to my glock.

No sweat. There really aren't that many pistols that deviate from the straight and narrow on the slide serrations and you knew about one that not many folks consider.

It's a cropped high res photo I downloaded from S&W. I have considered the 945 in the past, but kept buying true 1911s instead.

The M&P has my vote. Attractive and highly functional. You will not have the slide slip out of your fingers.

wow you 1911 guys are a particular bunch.

" I got rid of my 1911 because it didnt look right"

lol.

Frankly I dont care much about slide serrations, but I can nominate the worst.

CZ. My CZs serrations are fine there is just not enough of em.

I like my P30's slide serrations. Not that 'cool' but they feel great and I really like having the forward slide serrations as well.

How about these art deco jobs on the TT33? They'd be all-time great if they didn't have that ugly pin showing.

The front serrations on that STI Master are cut the wrong way.
Obviously the intent was to 'frame' the gun's name rather than add functionality.

I like the brown scales and the STI "tooth" they originally came out on an open pistol with a red dot and are nice to have if you don't have a racker. If you want endless options go check out SVI's gun builder you can get anything you want as they are all custom.

I've seen a couple with the rim size on the rear window. I find them quite entertaining.
