Who has the coolest slide serrations?

Now if STI would just fire the blind guy who chooses the roll marks with his numb fingers. . . .:p

My vote goes to S&W for the M&P. "Look Ma, no boringly straight serrations!"

Ed Brown gets a nod too.

What is the point of that crap?

That reminds me of the goofy stuff Mossberg has been hanging off the ends of their shotguns barrel.

I don't know why and Ill bet they dont either but they are laughing all the way to the bank about it.

I might buy an STI if they would remember, "it's a pistol not a billboard". Who needs or uses front slide serrations, ever? Smooth sides, clean lines, classic looks, but to each his own, to some gaudy equals quality. Not I. FYI, it only looks like a 1911 if it has an external extractor, or a polymer frame. It's good that pistol smiths express them selves, but its gotten out of hand, just another FAD then on to the next...

OH!!!!!! I never saw that STI!!! I think those are awesome serrations!!!!!!

I have a very strong pereference for Colt's. Simple, effective, elegant. "Everything you need and nothin' you don't."

I agree 100%. The only reason that I got rid of my Dan Wesson 1911s was that I just couldn't get used to forward cocking serrations. I prefer the looks of the traditional ones.

please delete this thread before it encourages mfgrs to add even more (and dumber looking) "serrations" to the poor 1911

I like my Kimber Eclipes Pro II's straight serations, and since it is a Pro (4 inch) there are no fancy serations on the front just clean lines of a 1911.

The race for makers to have the oddest cocking serrations are like those myriad of stupid looking rims I see in certain parts of my city.

The serrations on Les Baer pistols feel great.... I wish my Dan Wesson CBOB had cocking serrations that were spaced tighter like on the Baers.
