Early voting started here in Texas today and I cast my ballot in Harris county this afternoon. As a gun owner, straight Republican, of course.

Mines already in. I figure if something happens in the next few weeks that significant, the rest of the population will outvote me.

I didn't vote straight republican (the thingy at the top), but probably should have. :uhoh:

Voted Already!

I voted a couple of weeks ago! I voted by absenty ballot. The day it arrived in the mail I had it filled out and ready to go back the very next day. I'm not an "undecided voter" I knew exactly how I was going to vote. Considering that I'm in Utah, (The most Republican State In the USA) you can pretty much guess how I voted to. :D

I voted last Friday, on the 15th.

"Land of Mañana," my patootie! (Of course, our state's results will not be in until at earliest 6 a.m. on Wednesday the 3rd. )

sent mine in though wouldnt be suprised if they lost it. they lost my first voter registration and I went to the officer filled it out and handed it in, in person. called in today they said I am not registered WHAT!:cuss: :fire: went down again today filled it out and filled out absentee ballot.

I'm confused. I'm reading articles about Florida and some other states actually voting now. Absentee ballots I understand. But they actually have the voting centers open, and you can go in and throw the levers...

Uh...since when did that happen? WHy only some states? Isn't that just opening a hug can of Recount/voter fraud/hanging chads/etc problems?

Is it not Election Day anymore, but now Election Weeks?

And I bet this was a democratic party driven thing too?

Did I miss some Big Law or something?

 :uhoh:

its state law that usually allows.

whats wrong with it would you rather people keep voting after november 2nd or angry mobs because they had long lines at the voting stations and had to turn away voters? would you like your right to vote denied because someone organized people to vote slowly and clog the station? happens anyway but imagine if it was worse. best they open early voting and get people out of the way though my main concern would be when they count who has access to ballots and does the county and misconduct.

I tried to stop on my way home but the local polling place wasn't open like it was supposed to be  I'll go tomorrow though

Early in-person voting began Saturday in New Mexico, and I took advantage of it then.

I voted for John Kerry.....

...before I voted against him! (Honestly, I pushed the little button next to his name, looked at it a moment (and almost puked), and then pushed the button next to W. You can bet that I double and triple checked that my selection was correct prior to hitting the "VOTE" button.)

Early voting has been around for a while now. It is a good thing. Anyway, my wife and I sent our absentee ballots back last Tuesday. Fat lotta good it'll do as they will probably just get lost in the mail and show up on Nov. 3rd or our stupid, incompetent Broward county SOE will have them stuffed in the bottom of a box in the back of some bureaucratic office downtown.

Guess I should've left off those Bush/Cheney stickers, huh?

Colorado has early voting as well.

I voted this morning, was third vote cast in this county, then spent most of the day nagging co-workers about voting. Spent about an hour working on one of the undecided.

Sent in my absentee ballot today for good ol Broward Country FL, soon to be chad free? :uhoh:

I choose the best man for the job, keeping the status quo ;)

Did my absentee ballot last weekend. And my vote is in MN, which _might_ be up for grabs. One vote closer to pushing us Republican...

Voted!!

This is the first time I have ever voted a straight ticket. Republican of course.

In the past, my voting pattern was all over the political spectrum.
This year, I feel that the republicans hold 90% of my beliefs.

I'm going to vote the Friday before election day. Our power plant will be in the midst of an outage (heavy workload) on Nov. 2nd and I probably will be at work during all the hours the polls will be open that day.

Not gonna say how I'm voting because too many of you won't like it. :)

I voted Saturday afternoon. Electronic voting machine, with a little spool of paper under a window that printed a ticket with my choices on it for me to review, before recording both the physical and the electronic vote. Pretty fancy!

Voted. Long lines, but well worth the wait to let my voice be heard.

This Bexar County, TX voter voted straight Republican this morning, and voted against the sales tax increase for the Transportation District.

Got my vote in today, straight ticket republican. Not that there were many other choices, 95% of the ballot here was uncontested republicans.

As a registered Democrat, how do you think I voted?

For Bush, of course. THAT'll give the dems something to think about. (I had all my new voter friends who voted Bush do the same thing)
