I can't wait for this to come on tonight cause i've seen it when it was HBO but I'am gonna sit with a nice cold coke and my S.A. WWII milspec and watch with glee.:D So who else is seeing this for the first time tonight or the second for that matter? Anyone who has seen it tells me its worth seeing twice so I guess its worth seeing for sure.

Not me.................

I have the DVD pack and have watched it about 100 times.

Its a great series worth purchasing. Hope the station doesnt edit it for content.

I highly recommend purchasing the DVD set.

Lennyjoe and I have the same problem.
When it first came out I didn't have HBO but I had a buddy tape it for me. Then I downloaded boot leg copies of it from a file sharing website.
As soon as it came out on DVD I bought it.
I can quote most of the script.

Oh, and I also read the book.

I think I can find something better to do tonight.

I'll be watching (and taping). Didn't see it when it came out, as I can find no good reason to pay for HBO. Read the book a while back.

Finally got around to getting a DVD player a few weeks ago. As soon as a spare $90 shows up, I'll have it on DVD.

THC will also have a Mailcall episode and another documentary over easy company. Sweeet

Me, too. My dad served with the 36th Engineers in N Africa, then Anzio and Sicily (with Pattton), earned a couple of Purple Hearts and a DSC in the process. He never talked about it much. I missed it first time around, I figure it should be pretty interesting.

I saw it last night. When it first ran on HBO I saw several of the episodes, but missed the first few.

Afterwards, THC had an episode of "Mail Call," in which R. Lee Ermey got all dressed up as a Screaming Eagle and discussed many of the pieces of gear that WW2 paratroopers used. He shot a few neat guns as well -- an M1A1 Carbine, a Luger, and a 1911. They also had historical footage of the 2.36" Bazooka and the 60mm mortar.
