I tried Ram-Line EEEKKKK, what a POS. They never feeded right, and I touched some gun solvent to them and they melted.......

Other than Ruger OEM, what are other good, reliable mags for the 10/22?
Eagle, Promag, Butler Creek?

There is a company that makes pricey, hi cap mags made of aluminum. I can't for the life of me remember the name, but I'm sure someone will chime in with it.

I have been using HOTLIPS in my 4 10/22's for years and have never had a problem with them.

Why buy anything but the factory mags, except for a gatling gun conversion or something?

You can get a 4-pack for under $50; it's not like the OEM magazines are too expensive or something, especially given that they actually work.:)

Assuming you're interested in high-cap mags, ditto to Butler Creek. Even the plastic lips version work very well in my guns.

But don't diss Ruger 10 rd factory mags - they're still the most reliable IME.

tactical solutions, inc., make a fully adjustable, aluminum or mix metal, hi cap. the head of the mag has four allen screws in each corner, and can be adjusted for overall height, gimble, and trajectory, of the angle of how the bullet loads into the chamber.
jackal 's got it right.

the 10/22 is a finicky gun when it comes to mags and ammo. A mag/ammo combo that works great in my gun may or may not work as good in yours. I have had good results using the cheap Eagle 30 rd. mags w/ federal bulk ammo. The ramline mags I had were also junk. I have not tried the Tactical Inc. 25 rd. mag, but it looks like a quality piece.

Butler Creek mags work very good for me, always have. I don't know anyone personally who has had a bad time with Butler Creek mags.
