Who makes your favorite functional holsters?

The holster brand I have the most of is made by Assault Systems. The elite systems holster line.

I usually carry IWB at 6 o'clock. They make a nylon holster with a reversible clip for left or right hand use. Their customer service is good too.
I don't like carrying leather in when I am sweating on a hot summer day.

Small 1911 - Alien Gear for IWB and Winthrop for owb
Small revolvers which I carry more than anything - Iwb appendix holster by Red Cent Custom Leather.
 
I'm so tired of hearing about the Brommeland MaxCon V. Owners of this holster seem even more fanatical about it than VM-II owners are. I've read enough reviews about the Brommeland MaxCon V that I've begun to think everyone who has bought one has written a review - a very, very positive review. So I just gave up and called them, and they are just starting a batch for Govt models...so I'll probably be writing a review in August about how great they are. :D

Never would have heard about the Brommeland MaxCon V if it weren't for The High Road. I look forward to it's arrival.
 
Always carry in a Fist ultra thin kydex IWB. Have one for all of my pistols.
 
I am a holster addict. For me it's like tires for a car. They compliment each other.
I have El Paso, Don Hume, Bianchi (many), Hunter, Fobus, Black Dog, Roy's Original Pancake(awesome holster). Even a custom Kirkpatrick quick-draw rig that I further customized for speed. I also have a few that I shamelessly copied and made myself.
But my pride and joy is my cap 'n ball slim jim rig from Graveyard Jack.

It is adorned with brass spots and buckle and silver conchos.
 
I like Theis holsters and have 2 for my rigs. Very comfy and secure for my EDC.
 
Surprised...

I just got a Safariland ALS 6378 paddle holster for my S&W Model 37 on eBay for $18.50 and $5.15 shipping. It isn't pretty. It isn't custom. It isn't even leather. It just works absolutely perfectly. It even conceals under a Hawaiian shirt or other button-up shirt worn tails out. And,yeah, I have a box of holsters, too; some good, some very good, and some I won't even give away because they're crappy.
 
Galco for mass production. I have an OWB for my 686 that I love.

Mika for pocket holsters. Carry a 442 in my off-hand pocket as a back-up at work everyday.

I like Bianchi or Galco for off the shelf type holsters.

I really like my MKII Do All holster from Big Ugly Leather Works. It is a convertible leather IWB/OWB.

The "Ugly Tuck" is a nice piece of leather as well, for those that like the Comp-Tac style holsters, but would rather have an all leather version.

Haven't bought any lately, but Lou Alessi made the ones I do have. His family has carried on with the business since he passed but I don't have any of the newer stuff.
 
Another good holster for your Blackhawk is made by Rusty Sherrick Leather.

I bought one for a Super Redhawk a number of years ago and it's made really well.

My favorite purely functional holster is the Garrett Industries Silent Thunder IWB. I have four of them, one for every gun I ever carry- HK USPf9, HK P30S, Beretta Nano and Ruger LCR. Plus I have a Garrett STX2.0 for the USP as well. Finally Ron got a mold to do a holster for the Browning Hi-Power so I'll probably get an IWB for it, too. The rig is extremely comfortable and secure, my favorite EDC holster.

I will say that I have a Sirocco by Red Nichols for my P30S. It's an incredible work of art, extraordinarily beautiful but very functional as well. Since I only carry concealed, never OC, it's almost a waste to have such a beautiful holster that no one will ever see!

Have a couple of their inside the waistband holsters already and ordered their hybrid and another IWB today. They have my business forever... I have a simply rugged and like it but the lady who took my order made me look elsewhere. These guys have the whole package... Product and service with fair prices.
 
In my experience...

Pocket holsters? Robert Mika and De Santis Nemesis. This is limited (for me) to guns the size of an LCP, Kahr PM9 and (to really stretch it, on rare occasions) Kahr P45.

IWB? Milt Sparks VMII and CrossBreed Super Tuck. Another one that is worth a look is the UBG Striker.

One unique holster made for K-and N-frame S&Ws is the Hoffners Miurage kydex holster. Different model for the K and the N; I have one of each for each of my 4" K- and N- frames.

The one for the K is outstanding...maybe the weight and balance of the K-frame is perfect for this design. The N-frame one is not quite as stable or accommodating...maybe the additional weight of the N-frame makes the difference.

Bottom line (for me)...the K-frame version is amazing. The N-frame version is frustrating.

YMMV.
Regardless, the design is compelling, and worth a look. Nothing else holds a medium/large frame revolver so close to your body. It really is a genius design.

I'm a High Noon Holsters lover. Got a couple of them and will buy one now for every gun I carry. Bang for the buck I find that they suit me. And the website a newbie holster buyer *right* to what I wanted and needed in a way few other places seem to be able to express...no surprises from High Noon.
