Who makes your favorite functional holsters?

I very much like my Comp-Tac MTAC hybrid Kydex/leather IWB. 100% functional. It's the most adaptable, adjustable, and seems to be the highest quality of all the hybrids. I've had Galco, Milt Sparks, DeSantis, Uncle Mikes (lol), and several no-name IWBs but none even came close to the comfort of the MTAC. Hybrids spread the weight of the gun over a very large area and to me this is the most comfortable. I'm not skinny, but I guess I'm not really what I'd call 'fat' anymore either. I carry a fairly big/heavy gun daily in the MTAC, an XD45C.

I also have a Galco shoulder rig that I use with my 'tuxedo gun', a PPK/S on rare occasion. I find their shoulder rigs are really comfortable, something about the swivel thing in the middle of the back keeps it from ever pinching me where others I've tried would on occasion.
 
I think this thread just cost me some money! Thanks to all for posting your favorite makers. I tend to go with El Paso Saddlery, but it looks like I might have to stray....

I carry my Glock 19 in a G-Code Incog every day to class, just about at the 4:30 position.

It's comfortable and built very well. If I couldn't sit through a two hour Calculus lecture in a 30+ year old wooden seats with it strapped on, I wouldn't be using it.

Also, G-Code hooked me up with a cool sticker pack because they love military folk. Great bunch of people.

IWB: Comp-Tac Infidel Ultra for everyday, or the MTAC if I decide to haul the 1911 Government model around.

OWB: Blade-Tech Eclipse.
 
I have a couple of Black-Ops Pro's from Pure Kustom. Last year I got one for my CZ-75B and used it for the handgun self defense course at Front Sight. Galco Fletch is by far the best carry holster I have tried. For competing at the range an open top Kydex holster is nice.
 
Definitely DeSantis,, but I have a number of fine Galcos and Bianchis. I have stepped it up a notch a few times and gone with El Paso Saddlery, Cochise Leather, DM Bullard, and a couple directly from Smith or Ruger. Nice collection without being too extravagant.

As far as functional, economical, and quickly available, Triple K and Simply Rugged have been reliable and comfortable.
 
I know they're not as fancy as many mentioned here. But, I like Remoras for day to day IWB. They just work and they're cheap.
For anything else? Stephen over at RKBA gets all my business. He's great to work with, his prices are great and he makes great stuff.
 
I like Garrett for functional rigs! The shell is kydex so it doesn't collapse on the draw. The retention is adjusted with an Allen head screw (wrench is included) from pretty loose and fast to very tight. The holster is lined with leather. To me it's the best of both worlds; kydex fit and retention with leather for a quiet draw and a total lack of "kydex rattle" that most full kydex rigs have in my experience, and they're pretty gentle on the finish of your gun.

The clips you can see in the pics I posted are my overall favorite. But you can get leather loops, kydex loops, heavy duty clips, extra slim clips, etc. I've experimented with most of them and have settled in the standard clips shown. They keep the holster rock solid, are fairly low profile, pretty sturdy and won't pull out with the draw.

BTW, the holster is also adjustable for cant. Some of the models have adjustment for ride height.

FWIW I have eight Garrett holsters and a ninth on the way (for my latest acquisition, an HK USPc). Needless to say I love their stuff.
 
I have got a Theis IWB horsehide and love it. The horsehide is a little weaker than my previous Theis' but he recognized this was an issue and seized making them until he can get better horsehide in stock. That G code pictured looks nice.

Actually, it depends upon the personal choices. I was had lots of options while buying a holster but I found Custom Kydex holsters are good to choose. Blue Line Concealment provides best quality holsters and free shipping with lifetime warranty.
 
The two I use most often are Crossbreed Super Tuck for IWB and Nigh Noon Snapper for OWB.

If it's cool enough for a tee shirt under my dress shirt, I sometimes use a Desantis Sof Tuck.
 
I prefer to carry only OWB. These are my main carry guns & holsters: Kahr CW45 in a Detroit Concealment ( www.detroitconcealment.com ) custom-made kydex, S&W M&P 9C in a Desantis Mini Slide, and Kahr CW380 in a Mitch Rosen Belt Slide. These are all moderately priced, functional holsters that conceal well.

Could you compare the DeSantis with the Rosen holster? Not really the quality, but you could if you want, but more the extended flap of leather on the DeSantis.

Does it make reholstering more difficult? It looks fairly new, so you may not have any fold over, but it seems like a probability with that design.

Does it provide any extra security/retention over the Rosen?

The Mitch Rosen is more rigid because it's made out of thicker leather, but also because it's much smaller than the Desantis. The Rosen came perfectly molded to my CW380 as you can see. It holds the gun firmly, with no need for adjustable retention. The Desantis is also quite firm. The extended "flap" is no cause for concern. It has held its shape 100% after 2 years of carry. The security/retention is about the same between the 2. The Desantis has an adjustable retention screw, which I only adjusted once when I first got it. I would recommend either holster.
 
Do you prefer the round or square version of the Mika pocket holster for a small revolver? Possible use might be in jeans or Dockers, in the rift front pocket. Please provide feedback and an explanation why one might be better than the other.
Also, is the Mika less bulky than the Nemisis? That model really fills the pocket, but some are even bulkier, like the Bianchi.
