Why are berettas mocked so often?

The 92Fs is the smoothest 9mm i have ever shot, no jams, and had very light recoil. The only downside is size for concealability. but that's not an issue in the military. I think it's a fine pistol. I do think the fact that it's not a made in America design and that it replaced the 1911 work against it. Some people's perception s of the 9mm don't help either.

I mock the beretta because it doesn't fire 230 grain .45 cal rounds...

I mock the beretta because we broke a gozillian locking blocks and 3 slides in a course I attended...well, ok, ANY handgun would come apart with the amount of rounds those weapons fired lol!

I also mock the beretta because the browning high power does a better job doing the same thing, and doesn't take up as much space.
