One of the gun manufacturers needs to make a sub compact, single stack 10mm polymer pistol for concealed carry and personal protection out in the wild. A Kahr P45 style pistol in 10mm would be great and would likely hold at least 1 more round of 10mm than .45acp. The Glock 29 is great in its own right, but a slimmer, smaller 10mm would be great. I would feel very secure with 7+1 rounds of hot 10mm. Anyone else wish for the same?

REAL Pocket Rocket

Colt did make a few .40 cal Defenders. Got a 10mm reamer?

Funny you should mention that..... Not only did Colt make the Defender in .40 S&W, Kimber made the Compact Stainless in .40 S&W. This gun is built on an OACP frame with a 4" bull barrel with a slide length between an OACP and a Commander. That very barrel is currently out being rechambered to 10mm. Last night I spent some time installing the EGW flat-bottomed firing pin stop and 25 pound mainspring (not to mention 24 pound recoil spring) that will be needed to make a 10mm this small function.....I hope. :what: The plan is to have this thing up and running within a couple of weeks. Then we will see what we see. I think it will run fine on "normal factory" 10mm like Federal and Winchester Silvertips. Douple Tap 10mm? Dunno..... Stay tuned.....

In addition to what Mossyrock is doing, I remember seeing a Kimber Ultra Carry in .40 down at a local gun shop ... now I think the frame was one of their alloy ones, but if you can get a .40 Ultra Carry in steel frame then I'm thinking a 10mm conversion would be pretty cool.

Now if only I had more money then sense :p

heresy I know, but....

Colt also made some .40 cal Double Eagle Commanders. Did they make .40 Commanders? Probably :)

If any manufactures are reading this I would love to have a thin compact 10mm. I believe DW (CZ) still makes the cbob but the cco is gone.

I am sure my opinion will carry a lot of weight with gun manufactures

Hay we can hope can't we!

Smith & Wesson made some 40 cal 945s that you can still find around.

Not that it answers your question, but Dan Wesson made at least one 10mm CCO :D
