Look up what Sierra Papa does to the Storms.
Part of the additional expense in mine was replacing plastic parts with better quality guts.
And part was a quick-reaction light-weight red dot.
One other nice feature is that the Beretta easily breaks down for cleaning, and doesn't require half a tool box like another brand I won't mention again.
The Storm's admittedly a niche gun, but that doesn't mean it's totally worthless.
If it has no appeal, then don't buy one.
One other thing I'll say- For indoors work (and I spent a number of years clearing houses & other buildings) I'd pick mine in a heartbeat over an AR.
Much easier to handle with either hand & the muzzle blast is nowhere near as severe.
