Does anyone here have any experience with the "SASS Wire?" After shooting a few SASS matches (the people were extremely nice), I made my way to the "SASS Wire" and I was stunned at how some people act.

Surfing through the posting it was clear that anyone with an idea or a question about why things are as they are would slammed by comments like "you just joined SASS and you're already trying to change things", "why don't you find another place to shoot that has what you want?", "SASS is growing, why would we want to change?" "you're just trying to change things that will benefit only you", etc. etc. etc.

I made the "mistake" of asking if there would ever be an adult SASS rimfire category? WOW! While there were some wonderful and informative responses, there were also plenty of nasty, hate-filled comments too. I had looked for other postings on the subject and there wasn't much so that's why I started the thread. Then the entire thread got deleted. Why the hate? Why the xenophobia?

I waited a few days and asked the other question I was curious about -- Colt Lightning replicas. This time I got some out-and-out awesome postings -- really good information. People who had experimented with the actual guns. Also a few postings that did nothing but dump crap on the thread. When I mentioned this, I got banned from the Wire (I cannot even grab the contents of my second thread -- if it too has not been removed.)

Is this really how things run in SASS? Had I not already been to matches and met people I wouldn't give it a second thought -- I would just write it all off and move on. But the xenophobia and out-and-out hated of some posters on the SASS Wire, and the fact that it is tolerated by SASS is unlike anything I have ever encountered in shooting.

I would surely appreciate any insight. Thanks.
