Why no Fed Concealed carry permit?

The federal guvmint is NOT supposed to be the ultimate authority, the states are

Hossfly68, is it legal for the Alabama state police to search your house without a warrant? I don't think so. Why? Because it violates the constitution. By the same set of rules Alabama shouldn't be able to make you get a license to carry a gun. Why? because it violates the constitution.

Well this was a failed idea this thread goes from guns to fish to politics but seems to skip the real idea.

The original post was kind of clueless and useless to begin with since the answer is obvious to anyone that's passed a high school civics class, as pointed out to you by numerous posters.

Kind of like asking why we don't have a national driver's license or national police force instead of all this different state stuff.

I thought it interesting that arguements were made that concealed carry permits should be valid in all states under Article IV, Section 1.

I think many backed away from that when they realized that said arguement would certainly then apply to gay marriage.

It's funny how people will change their principles when the results don't suit them.

Personally, I'd be delighted to live in a country where happily married gay couples had closets full of assault weapons.
