I think it shouldn't matter, not only do I have to worry about pandering to fellow Americans now I have to pander to immigrants in order to keep a constitutionally protected right.
Its absurd, its stupid, its completely asinine.............its whats happened to this country.
disgusting
You sound like a racist to me. I am just as fed up with the illegal alien problem in this country (though they are still human beings trying to make a better life). However don't demean those that have gone through the painstaking process to properly become citizens of this great country by generalizing that they are somehow no better than those coming to this country illegally. There's a big difference between the two.
In case no one has realized yet,
the law and the constitution mean absolutely jack sh*t these days. Let me put things in perspective in case anyone here has yet to fully understand it. We are talking about a 27 word SINGLE sentence (the 2nd amendment that is). In point and fact, in all logic, the godd@mn thing is as straightforward as it gets, unless someone has a problem with it, then they need to decipher the "real" meaning behind it. Here's a hint, that's called deconstructionism, and it is the sign of the end of all logic. Does everyone not realize, we have been fighting these motherf*ckers (pardon the language, I'm losing my patience with this fight) over ONE SINGLE SENTENCE for the better part of the last half century?! That's madness! There can be no dispute over what it means, it clearly states
"....the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." It cannot possibly be any more clear than that. All courts, the Supreme Court, etc should forever side with us by default. The mere fact that there is an argument should be alarm enough for all of us. In realizing this, you have to realize, the people fighting us, the true leaders of the anti gun camp, they care absolutely nothing about the law, the constitution, etc. They will do everything in their power to destroy it and what America once stood for. This is precisely why we must remain ever vigilant, lest we become yet another footnote of another society destroyed by socialism, fascism, communism.....whatever the hell 'ism through genocide and the destruction of personal freedom.
That is precisely why sitting back, secure in the knowledge that a piece of paper "guarantees" your freedom, is just simply NOT ENOUGH. Our forefathers shed their blood and sweat to pay for it. Being a slightly more civilized society, the least we can do is shed our sweat, time, and effort for protecting those rights. Mark my words, if we let things progress to the point we lose those rights, it will no longer be just our sweat, time and effort we shed for those rights, but they would likely have to be paid for in blood again. Not a pretty thought, as after all we are supposed to be a more civilized society. Hence the reason we should avoid having to go down that route by taking the proactive approach to keep from reaching that point.
Forget sitting back and not educating people on rights. Thank God our founding fathers never subscribed to that mentality. It's our duty as Americans to always be knowledgeable about, protective of those rights, and proactive against those trying to take them.
THAT IS AMERICA. Plenty of countries have been destroyed, genocides waged, and well over a hundred million "citizens" of various countries slaughtered over the last century because of a lack of proactivity. Does anyone seriously think that the pure and unadulterated evil of individuals out there scheming to subvert human rights is somehow just going to stop because of a 200yr old piece of paper? This fight has been going on for hundreds of and I guess thousands of years and will still be going on hundreds of years after all of us have passed on unfortunately.
To not be completely OT, I would gladly act as an ambassador of our 2nd amendment rights for any immigrants I happen to meet. The ones I have met and known have all been very nice people. I really don't think about the whole immigrant status, I just think of them as people. The more nice people we can bring into the firearms world, the better, regardless of where they come from.
