Sounds like it's within the best interest of the Southern gentleman to go to the box and look them in the eye and say "Yeah, I did it, and so would you."

If ever there was a case for jury nullification, this is it.

I hope he has a good tilecrawler that can make this go away without taking that chance. :(

You guys who are mad about him being arrested, he killed a person. He is a killer.

I thought that killing someone in self defense is not a crime... isn't that why they call it justifiable homicide? :( :scrutiny:

DA's office declined to press any charges against the victim for obvious reasons. Even the tecnical firearms violation he comitted was ignored

It seems to be a pretty astute move by the Milpukee DA's office not to press charges. The last time they pressed charges on a weapons offense (a shop owner carrying a pistol in his pocket) a new law was passed in Wisconsin allowing people to carry a concealed weapon so long as they were in their place of business or on their property. As absurd as the need for the law sounds, it opened the door slightly for CCW in Wisconsin. Charging the man who shot the 20 year old 'boy' would bring about alot of backlash and could put CCW back on the forefront of agendas in Wisconsin which is about the last thing the lefties in the cities want to see. The repercussions of charging the man for using an illegally caried gun to defend himself and the prosecution losing in court would be too much for them to bear.

i say give the guy a medal and 100rds of 44 glasers.as for the surviving thugs.
25-life hard labor.

Thanks AJ for the update!! I wish we could track down the guy from AR and get his side of the story.

We also had a Republican governor who didn't want such a controversial bill to be placed on his desk, assuming a Democrat-controlled legislature would even allow such a bill to pass. We now have an extremely anti-gun governor who will veto the bill everytime it comes up.

Yes, thats one of several reasons I no longer live there :)
