Ive been researching this almost 2 months now,and ive narrowed it down to 2 choices.Picking between these 2 is gonna be tough.

My requirements: small and thin, singles stack 9mm for ccw, will be shot a lot at the range since 9mm is cheap compared to my .45's
SAO with a manual safety.Price was to be under $700,but i don't mind saving the money.

Between these 2,and no other suggestions will be taken.Reason is ive looked at everything available, and already have preferences if i want to spend more.
This is just my low end options if i decide to go this way.

EAA Zavasta M88- $250 wow what a solid gun.The finish isnt great but usable and id replace the grips with wood. Its small and thin with a single stack mag,but its all steel frame does add some weight. But since it will be a range gun also the extra weight is ok since it can help there.Reviews seem good also.Solid gun that should last a lifetime. This gun has been labeled the "Mini Tokarev"

Taurus 709slim- $350-$400 Im a Taurus fan,so if you choose the M88 over the 709 because Taurus makes it ill ignore your opinion.Really lets have open minds here. This one is small, thin and lite all in a perfect sized package.Warranty could actually be better than the M88 since that company is in Serbia.Finish is alot better and a solid gun.

The 709 was an easy pick to add to the low priced list options. The M88 had a lot to prove and seems to be passing initial Internet reviews and opinions with people expecting costs to jump a lot higher soon. Both these guns are very different from each other despite their size and designed purpose.

Look already you have people suggesting other pistols like you politely asked them not to!! I have to vote for the M88, not because I don't like Taurus, but because I like Zastava so much!
I have done a lot of reasearch on their line and I am in the process of collecting the cz99 series of pistols. I also have thought about picking one up but I am torn between that and the new Bersa. Single stack CC 9mm that's coming out soon. Good luck and keep us informed on your choice.

As i said ill be ignoring posts about other guns,my lists are all set and picked as far as low priced, mid and high priced 9mm guns go for this purchase.

So bdb you like the Zastava's? how many you have btw? any negative experiances?
The Bersa SS 9mm is new news to me,so it at least will get a peek.Im impatient so there will be no waiting on this purchase.

Taurus is starting to get my goat a bit the last few days,i wont add much more info other than that.
I do feel the M88 with a good set of handmade grips and a good coat of contrasting black Ceracoat on the slide and silver on the frame with black accents that would be one smoking hot gun.But for a long while the factory blue will be fine. Those grips gotta go tho asap.
Wheres all the 709 owners? i know you guys are out there, and i wonder do you feel you would buy another 709 after you have owned one?
I doubt many M88 owners are around, but pls say anything about that gun if you have knowledge about it.

Pick the one you already know you want.
I want both, thats the issue. If i spent that much tho id just get the HK P& PSP i been eyeballing.
So really i need to pick one of these, and its not going so well so far.

Best I can tell you is to get both, if you want both, or try them both and then buy the one that best fits your hand and eye. I'd also add that you don't want to pass by the Walther PPS -- but then, that would only muddy the waters for you. :)

So far I only have 1, the Charle Daly ZDA or the Zastava CZ999 Scorpion which is the predecessor to the EAA EZ 9. The first one was the CZ99. They made alot of AK's and Tokarevs when it was still Yugoslavia, in fact alot of AK buffs say the Yugo AK is one of the best ever made! I will be getting the EZ 40 in a couple weeks so I am exited to get my Zastava a big brother!! EDIT, acctually I almost forgot I also have a Interarms all black synthetic stalk .270 rifle That is made by Zastava, thats what originally peeked my intrest in their company. I've had it for 20 years and have taken many deer and elk with it. It is also an absolute tack driver!!
