My wife, athletic her whole life and a shooter for the last 20 years, has a degenerative spinal bone disease that is making her less able to confidently draw and fire a weapon. I want to find an instructor in Colorado (preferably the Denver metro) area that can help assess what she can and can't do and develop strategies for home and car self defense. She has to drive quite a bit in her job and occassionally carry adolescents from foster home to court, or to a placement. She has a concealed handgun license, but is uncomfortable enough about her physical capacity that she has stopped carrying, since she doesn't want to have her pistol taken and used against her.

Firearms include:

Sig Sauer P232 (hers)
Sig Sauer P229 (ours)
Colt OCP (mine)

Can anyone suggest a businesslike tactics and firearms instructor who will consult with us and not apply a one size - fits all approach to our situation?

I don't know anyone in CO that can help, although evidently Murph does. THR's own SM has some experience in working with people of declining abilities in what to do firearms wise. Perhaps you can alert him for some suggestions?
