Hey all,
Another question for the Board..

Will AK-47 stuff (read furniture stocks etc, fit on a MAADI?)

I wanted to get rid of that old Wood and replace with some uber tacticool Plastic.

Here is a picture of the old, wooden finish.

I'll post the New Hotness when I get the parts.

TIA Guys and Gals!!

your maadi has a square reciever. ( where the stock meets reciever)

regular AK stocks should fit. how ever. on some guns, replacing a thumbhole stock will require you to bring the gun to to 922 compliance

Yep.. have to replace foreign parts with domestic parts...

Pretty simple, replace the FCG, furniture, piston and muzzle attachment... all can be done at home at your convenience as a weekend project.

Any stamped AK parts should fit your gun fine.

As others have stated make sure you keep it 922r compliant and seeing as though you live in California make sure you keep it compliant in that regard also;)

Nice looking Maadi, I had one for a while and it was a great shooter!

Done!

OK got the parts on.

Tapco Folding stock. CAA Pistol Grip. Quad rail set up.

Trigger group and Gas piston from Tapco.

Haven't gotten a chance to try it out yet. But that should happen on Monday. :D

CAA parts aren't usually US made parts

Tapco parts count as 5 on your rifle, you need 6, make sure the quad rail is US made... the CAA pistol grips IIRC are made in Israel...

No, the parts are not interchangeable with an AKM pattern like the Maadi. The AK-47 uses a thicker barrel and the rear sight base, gas block, and front sight base are all diffrent.

Also, i dont guess its too much of a sin to tacticool a Maadi.
