Will S&W ever make a 10mm Shield?

38 Super would be perfect in a shield. same recoil as a 9mm, but the 124 gr round is smoking at 1279fps and thats with the 3.3" barrel

We can see how the Shield holds up to .45 Super :)

Well from a 5" barrel a 185gr jhp is moving at 1300fps, with almost 700ftlb of ME, but with the short barrel you're down around 1175ish with an ME of almost 570, so being they claim proceed with caution on a full size steel 1911, it might grenade

To what end? A carry pistol to hunt bears? A novelty pistol will never sell enough to justify production.
A .357 Sig/.40 S&W model with 2 barrels would be possible. A .22 TCM has a niche.
I love my 9 mm Shield, I carry it daily, it is a fine personal defense firearm. Period.
I’ve shot lots of .40 and some 10 mm. I do not want to shoot a 10 mm Shield.

Idk. Because I can? Because I’m getting a full-size 10mm maybe it’d be fun to have a compact? Because I can?

Unfortunately we will likely never see the 38 Super move beyond the competition crowd. Rimmed vs super comp brass, vs availability of either ammo.................. From a manufacturer's standpoint I imagine it's a steaming pile of nope idea.

But I do agree. The frame is big enough on the XDs 45 and it would've made an outstanding little gun.

However, same recoil? Me thinks my N105 loads are a bit warm then.

Well not exactly same, but close considering a hot 38 super has more ME than most 45 loads, that have far
More recoil than power
