Any scope should work with that mount, provided you have an AR with an A2 style carry handle. You do realize that that scope is made for an air(BB/pellet) rifle, right?

The recoil of the AR will probably throw the scope off.. Not positive, .223 doesn't recoil horribly, but it still may be a bit much for an airsoft scope. Give it a go, if you already have the scope you might as well try. Worse case scenario you get the mount, it doesn't work, and now you have an excuse to buy an aimpoint. (can't have a mount without a scope!!)

CORRECTION

That scope won't mount to a picatinny rail with the standard mounts it comes with. You would have to buy 1-inch weaver rings.

Something like this http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/t...de+matchall&Nty=1&Ntt=1+inch+weaver&noImage=0

You can probably find them cheaper, I was just showing those as an example.

scopes

airgun scopes are made to hold up to the fierce recoil of a spring airgun.
they are built better than CF rifle scopes in some ways. Durability will be no problem, but unless it's AO there could be parallax issues at .223 ranges.

I have this scope for my Air Rifle....

And im wondering if I could put it on my AR if i buy this mount?

The answer to the question is YES. But ONLY if you buy new rings for the scope.

You need:
-That mount
-That scope, and
-New rings, labeled "Weaver" or "Picatinney rail" style, which are also compatible with 1" tube scopes.

The rings that came with that scope, as shown in that picture, are rimfire/airgun dovetail rings (3/8ths" up to 11mm), and won't work with the wider Pic rail.

The scope may or may not hold up. But it probably will, if it's designed for springer airguns. Springers are harder on a scope than a l'il ol' .223.

The only question I would have is: What is the eye relief of that particular scope? If it is only an inch, it might cause an accident if the AR isn't sholdered correctly. Check and see, with enough eye relief it should work fine.

thanks a lot every one, really appreciate the help....

think ill give it a try..

Air rifle scopes are typically built much more robustly because airguns have both a forward and backward component to their recoil which can really mess up a normal rifle scope. I've heard several stories of good quality hunting scopes being used on air rifles, only to disintegrate within a few shots because of the dual recoil. It should hold up just fine.

also, since most air rifle scopes are prrlax free at 7 or 10 yds, i would not worry about prllax. Since it is spring piston rated, don't worry about durability.

That's not really how parallax works... you get one distance at which the scope is parallax free, and get parallax at all other distances, closer and farther.
