Bought a Browning Challenger II which appears to have an aftermarket Wilson Combat rear sight on it. Fits the dovetail nicely and looks like a custom job. Looked up some info on Wilson Combat and see they mostly sell sights for the 1911 anymore. Bought the gun at a show in NW Arkansas and that's where they're located, so makes sense.

Do they make decent sights and are they better than stock? Info appreciated. Thanks.

To me their combat sights are top notch. I have them on three of my Wilson 1911's. I have had several other 1911's with Novak fixed and Extreme DUty Adjustable, Colt with Heine's and a Para Ordnance with their version of the combat sight. To me the Wilson, because of its shape, clarity and tritium vial brightness are top of the line.....but that's just my humble opinion.

Yes Wilson Combat sights are very good and well designed. I had only one problem on one of my 1911 rear fixed sight, the screw was loose. My gunsmith drill a little hole on the slide itself and put some glue, problem fixed.

I've got a ajustable Wilson Combat sights on another 1911, and it works just fine.
