My Dad's 1886 ELW came factory drilled and tapped for a reciever sight, I think there's a williams on it now. Far enough away from the eye as to not hurt you with heavy loads, but close enough for a great sight picture.
Oh yeah...
The Japchester 1886's, as it seems to be popular calling them, are of better metals and better workmanship than any 'real' 1886 I've ever seen. Same goes for the Miroku made 1895's.
