Hi

Can somebody tell if I can change the pistol grip of the Winchester 1300 (wood) for other synthetic?

Someplace to buy it?

Thanks

Stocks on Winchester 1300s are pretty easy to remove/replace- take off the buttplate/recoil pad, then it's a one-screw deal. Take a look at eBay for some replacement stocks...

I got just what you need! I have a synthetic stock for a 1300 that is almost new. I bought the shotgun in January this year and proceded to change the stock for one that better fit my son. It has the bolt already in it and the buttpad etc. All it needs is a new home and someone to screw it on!

Here is a link where I posted it with a picture.

Send me a private message if interested.

forgot to mention...this is the original Winchester stock that came one the shotgun new. It has the name plate etc on it.

Just a quick question on the subject: What type of screw drivers are needed to correctly remove the stock on a 1300? Refering to the type and lenght required.

The blade on the screwdriver I used was about a 1/2" wide and the length was about 12 inches. A large screwdriver like that makes a better bite on the stock screw. Don't use a screwdriver tip too narrow and buger up the slotted screw. I am referring to the original stock.

The replacment stock I installed had a longer screw that came all the way to the middle part of the buttstock and only needed a 6" screwdriver. It is the reason I still have the original screw still with the original stock. It was a different length

Thanks for your answers

Now I´m looking for winchokes but I didn´t found. Do you think I can buy in Midway Usa supplies?

Thanks again

I bought the monte carlo stock for my 1300 at Midway. I bought another winchoke at Bass Pro. 1300 parts are not hard to find. The 1300 already has only a 13.5" pull. I am not sure where you would find a shorter buttstock. Do some googling is my best suggestion. You could always buy another synthetic stock and then cut it off to your liking.

I'd love to help you, but I do not know what you want to replace. The picture shows the whole receiver and forearm. Are you wanting to replace to wooden forearm? If so then you can get them at MidwayUSA.com

Wow, that's a pretty nice looking stock. I've actually been looking for a walnut stock for one of my 1300's....

Are you interested in selling that walnut stock once you find a synthetic set? I could even order the new stock set and have it shipped to you in exchange for that one. In either case, PM me if you're interested in getting rid of that walnut stock once you get a replacement.

Thanks to help me. It´s very dificult to find this kind of articles in Spain and the problem to buy in USA is the shipping (It´s expensive and the shop don´t want )
