I think I would try to determine its value unfired first. If the value unfired is greater than one fired then you have to make the decision of should I keep it for trading purposes? If the value unfired is the same as one fired rifle then go shoot it.

I paid 600.00 for it. I think I,ll keep it unfired for now as I have a pre-64 model 70 in 270, my other model 70,s are a left hand 7mm mag and a 300 win mag. eastbank.

just seems like a personal call on this one. It is a nice model, very nice example, but not a custom shop, or limited rifle.
I think shooting it might remove a 10% premium for example.

I bought a model 70 Featherweight SS in .243 back in 2012 when they had a rebate on them. Shortly after I bought it they started having them assembled overseas. Haven't shot it much, only 44 rounds but it's a great rifle. The one you have a good one too. Being left handed only you can decide to shoot it or not. I buy a rifle to use, so I use mine. If I were left handed and could use a right handed rifle I'd shoot it. The .270 is something I always wanted though. Good luck on whatever you decide.
