Oh goodness ! Al Biesen ! beautiful. #1 my barrel is a good one and has less than a thousand rounds since new. #2 the trigger is 1 1/2# and an icicle . #3 The old Wells rifle company in Prescott invented this "full length pressure bed" technique for model 70s that make up for any lack of stiffness in stock and variable pressure nodes of action AND strengthen the stock enough to allow a little slimmer , #4 notice I don't fool around with mounts ! while the recommended Talley mounts are slimmer and lighter I like the Warne all steel "improved weaver style mounts with Warne QD rings. They if torqued and seated properly allow switch scopes and coming back to close to sighted in , or use the factory irons. Fred Wells was another great Gunsmith. FWIW.
