Wisconsin getting concealed carry, now we are alone

My girlfriend loved to go to Chicago and soak up the town. Now that she is with me she asks all the time (2hr drive). I just say "lets just go to Indy" she blankly stares at me. Really; why are the politicians so scared of passing a CC law in that state?

There are a lot of "up state" NY'ers (the entire state minus NYC) who would love to see the same thing happen here.

You aren't alone, unfortunately. May-issue systems in several states are just as bad as no-issue.

HARDKNOX has it right - many of us quibble about the right to carry concealed or even where/when we can carry. PLEASE remember that there still exists parts of our country where it is difficult to OWN. Illinois is backwards in thier gun laws in many respects, but the REAL nut to be cracked is New York City. When an American Citizen residing in New York City can own and posess a defensive handgun in his/her own home without government 'permission' then we have made real progress. Of course, most of us will probably be dead by then.

You should try and exercise your open carry rights in TX

North and South Illinois, Distric of Chicago, etc.
Start a grassroots effort to separate the 95% of Illinois that is good from the 5% (Chicago) that is corrupt.
