I must say that it makes me giggle a little, to watch people argue about the quality of various imported Russian ammo, I mean, MY reason for getting an SKS was to be able to burn cheap ammo en bulc through a decent rifle without breaking the bank or worrying about babying it.
I haven't purchased any 7.62x39 in a long while, but at the time, Barnual, Golden Tiger, Silver Bear, etc were all right about the same price as Wolf. Since I planned to stock up about 10k of it, I figured I'd buy the one that shot the best. Why would I want to buy the worst crap at the same price?

Don't put down the SKS just because its cheap. Some can shoot a lot better than their shooter. I think the limiting factor is often the ammo quality, not the rifle.

I am a Newbie to this board and my forst post. I recently purchased a Norinco SKS and have been using Wolf Classic. I have put close to 500 rounds and never had a issue. Most of the groupings have been good with a flyer every now and then. I am very satisfied with it,

My Norinco SKS-D eats up Wolf ammo like a fat kid in a cake factory. Brass and steel, coated or not. The only ammo it doesn't like is WWB, as I get FTE and double feeds with it. I also shoot out to ranges up to 300 yards with it and it does the job just fine.

I won't shoot it out of my AR because DI is dirty enough with decent ammo, I don't want to clean anymore than I need to.
