The gun show is coming to my neck of the woods this weekend and I was thinking about getting a case of wolf for my G21.I just wanted to know if you guys have had good or bad luck with this ammo in your Glocks before I buy a case of this stuff. Thanks

I try a few boxes in you gun before you buy a case of anything. I don't shoot my Glocks much but last time out neither the 17 or 21 had any troubles with the box of Wolf I shot.

At this point, the price of Wolf + value of once fired brass is about the same as or greater than the cost of several reloadable brass cased ammo brands. So its a pretty marginal buy, but I've shot up a lot of it when it was <$120/1000 in .45 and <$90/1000 in 9mm.

Thanks guys I think I'll try a few boxes first.I just finihed a 1000 rd case in my P95 with no problems but I was'nt sure about the Glock.

I had a G21 KB in my hand when I was 16 (I'm 29 now). I shudder to think about shooting one.

There's only two things I shoot Wolf ammo through without any doubt or reservations: my Glocks and my AK's. It will handle it fine with no problems whatsoever. Be warned though, it is very dirty stuff. But not dirty enough to keep you from shooting that whole case of it up and running out and buying more. Have fun.

Thanks Ethereal.I know it's dirty my ruger would get filthy after shooting it made me more detailed in my gun cleaning though.I'm happy to hear you have had no problems with it in your Glocks.

I had difficulty with it in a Glock 30. It had failures to fire due to (IMO) excessively hard primers; the primers on the misfired cartridges were barely nicked, this from a gun that had deep consistent strikes on US-made ammo. A hammer-fired SIG P220 had no problems with it, however. The powder was also extremely odiferous, smelling somewhat like burning hair. :barf: However, this was about six or seven years ago. It may have changed since then. I would suggest trying a couple of boxes first in your gun before committing to a whole case.

I fired less than a box through my model 19 and had 2 FTF, but I will continue to use it because of the price.....:)

For many years I had an aversion to Glock pistols and AR15 rifles.
Then I began shooting them again and liked them.

For many years I had an aversion to steel case ammunition, especially since I had to repair several weapons that the steel case stuff caused problems for.

As time goes by and products become better I find myself using the products I didn't care for in the past without issue.

You won't find Wolf ammunition to be the most accurate stuff you will ever fire in your Glock but the newer stuff should work without problems and at todays prices it may be the most cost effective option if you do not reload.

I'm not a Wolf ammo fan. I've only shot a few rounds, through friend's guns & was not impressed w/ results.

i say try it, worse case scenario there are issues, which would be could be a good thing that is a good way to train on malfunction clearing! i just ordered a case of wolf .45 it will be a while before i get to shoot it but it was at a great price, and i needed it anyway so i will definetly tell ya'll about it. i have heard of very few problems, even the guys that run thier guns and run hem hard use wolf in glocks and have had minimal issues.

I wont shoot wolf in anything. Its crap. It jams, its not accurate, it smells...:barf:

you can reload great .45 for minimum investment and for half the price of wolf garbage.

later on if you decide to get out of the hobby - sell the reloading stuff for minimal loss.

If its an option, Id go that route before Wolf.

here we go:confused:

it's not accurate there are guns that don't shoot good with black hills does that mean i shouldn't use it?

it smells so does everones armpits but we put up with that!

jams what. i know they work great in glocks which are in question here and in commie guns ie ak's sks's etc. i have used it with great results in my ar in many trainning classes and in alot of high volume shooting. works good in my bushy.

so don't buy it i'll take it.

It's not good ammo. Might not jam a glock, but guaranteed to do so with an HK USP. It's better than it was, though. Just make sure it's not that lacquer-coated *****.
