After some research, I have another set of questions for folks that have used wolf primers:

1. Did you buy the wolf primers you used in the "first" batch that came into the country or the "second" batch?

2. If your primers came from the second batch, were they harder to seat?

3. If you bought primers from both batches, were the second batch as consistent as the first batch?

4. If you bought from the second batch, what was your experience and what did you fire them in?

Thank you for the patience with the questions. It appears currently to some folks the "second" batch of primers may not be nearly as good as the first, which apparently were "match" primers and I'm making some attempt at determining this.

Have you asked over on the Brian Enos forum ... there was a fair amount of discussion re Wolf primers when the Federal got scarce. I haven't previously heard reference to a 1st vs 2nd batch distinction.

I've just started reloading using Wolf SP and range brass. The lot number is 1-06, same as above. So far only S&B brass requires some force to prime, no problems with WWB and Rem. UMC brass.
