Well.. I finally went and did it! Purchased my first ever semi-auto today. Picked up a NIB P365XL today. Wanted the one with safety but they were no where to be had... at least not in this neck of the woods..and I wasn't willing to wait for it. So I'll be ordering the manual safety retrofit later this week. I'm guessing I can Dremel out the notches to make it all work.
I've been sitting in my chair for the last hour working the slide and practicing my trigger discipline and presenting it at the hall doorknob 25' away while dry-firing. I think years of shooting DAO revolvers are now paying me dividends with my trigger press. I will know for sure in a couple of days when I take it out and put a couple hundred rounds thru it on targets.
Just super excited to have my first, and second semi-auto (got a Kimber Micro .380 too) it's for my wife to shoot. I really like that little guy too!
