Worst trigger ever?

Factory PSL trigger (Pulled at 15.6lbs) Fixed it with a stoned G2 FCG @ 3LBS

Polish P-64, it has a trigger pull in DA that made me thing the gun was litterally broken, I couldn't pull it, But it worked in SA, and the single action, is about 2 pounds, so you got a gun you have to be on adrenalin to pull the trigger in DA, but then it's got a pull like a 1911 race gun in SA, VERY bi-polar...

On the SKS, I did a trigger job before I really knew anything, basically smoothed everything (I would have trimmed the springs... but I couldn't figure out how to get them off the captive rod)

The only thing I didn't touch was the sear, now I have a 5-6# pull, really smooth, but get this, it stacks, so you can take it up till the last 2oz and have the pull be like a target gun. I kinda hate stacking the trigger, cause about the 3 or 4th one I'll scare the Begeezuts out myself.

SKS -

Drag. Drag. Drag. OK . . . maybe . . . fire now.

After a little trigger work -

Drag. Drag. OK . . . fire now.

I had a 1943 production M91/30 Mosin Nagant with a creepy, mushy at times, stacking 4 stage trigger that probably weighted about 8-9 lbs. Ended up installing a Finn M39 trigger to make it tolerable.

Worst I remember trying was a S&W Sigma pistol. That thing had to be over 10 lbs. and creepy as well. I thought the gun was malfunctioning because I had never had to pull that hard on a trigger before and not had it fire.

My SKS is the worst I have in my inventory. The only time my friends can outshoot me is when we are shooting the SKSs. Mine has an awful trigger that feels like they used an old rusted wood rasp for part of the mechanism. Breaks like a lump of mushy loaf bread after a mile long trigger pull. Pulling the trigger requires pulsating your trigger finger pressure between 5lbs to 9lbs to get past that rusted rasp. After you get past the rasp, there is always the squishy part that has no real indication as to when the break is coming. Other than that... Great rifle!

SKS, or a milspec M4. For that matter, most M4/AR systems I don't like the trigger. Love the trigger on a PTR91 (newgen), and love the trigger on my Steyr M40 (once I get it polished a bit...she's still ultranew and kinda gritty :p)

My wife's bone stock Ruger 10/22. Trigger is so bad, at first, I thought the safety was on.
And then there was that Accutrigger thing on my Savage. Broke fairly clean but, I just couldn't stand the springy, glock thingy on the trigger, and replaced it with a Rifle Basix.

Me?

....definately a CZ 452 in 22wmr. VERY creepy trigger. It is also inconsistent on pulls, some are heavier than others. ...YIKES!

I've ordered an adjustible sear which I hope works because I trully believe this gun is not useable. I'm surprised it left the factory in this condition.

I can't stand the trigger on later model Winchester 94's! All I've tried (plus the one I owned) have had a lot of creep. Just a downright poor trigger.
But this was not the case with a 1954 manufacture '94 that I owned. That thing was awesome!

My Saiga 7.62x39 in its stock sporter configuration. Can't wait to do the conversion. The wishbone linkage adds a horrible amount of slop.

Tie for first with me...an H&R Handirifle in 30-30, just about any Savage 24, especially my 24V in 222/20. Hard to shoot a good group or just one accurate shot for that matter with that trigger.

Lucky they were not on guns I own.

One was on a derringer - worst. It felt locked. I don't think the ergonomics were working with me either.

The other was a Keltec Sub2000. It was about on par with staple gun.

My worst was on a CETME. It felt like the entire assembly was coated in sand. Very heavy, with a "crunchy" feel and sound as you pulled. The trigger also seemed to pull forever with several psuedo-breaks along the way. I spent some time working on it and even though it is multitudes better, it is still the worst trigger I have.

Worst handgun... Savage Model 1917 in .32 ACP
It feels like the trigger, sear, and hammer aren't even in the same gun. I love the pistol but cannot shoot it straight. I no longer bother to try.

Worst rifle...1975 Colt SP1
I sent the trigger, hammer, and disconnecter to Bill Springfield and it is now a pleasure to shoot and I shoot it much better.

Best handgun...1937 Brazilian contract S&W Model 1917 revolver

Best rifles...1929 Springfield M1903 and Savage 14

I'll second the H-K 91. Very gritty, creepy, goobery letoff, with a lot of overtravel. I don't regret trading it off.

I had a trigger job done by a gunsmith on a 24 years ago, it made a tremendous difference in how I was able to shoot the rifle.
