Would anyone buy an American AK-47?

^ I believe they all have holes, but not always the same configuration.

(The Union made AK's that is, the Confederate AK's may be different )

LOL, I'm sure the Confederate AK's don't deserve the bad wrap they get.;)

I'll have to take a closer look at my AK in a while and see just how it is made. I don't shoot it much so I'm not real familiar with it.

sure if it was all stainless steel with a 1.6mm receiver
an INSAS type safety and sights or rk95

or a 308 that takes g3 mags

if i was going to build a gun from scratch it would be 1 that is uncommon
in the USA
like a tavor or type97 or type 03 in 5.56 or MSBS 556
a type 81 would be nicer than an ak

Depends on what type of reviews they get from AK gurus.

And if the prices are good.

I would definitely not buy one right away. I seriously doubt I would. And never from century.

Arsenal has always had nice rifles. Another one I liked built in America with Bulgarian know how and SOME parts was Armory USA. I don't know if they are still building them or not. They were going through some thing a few years back. Very nice rifle if you can find one slightly used. They retailed for about $580 a few years back. I haven't seen too many used ones around. It seems that when people get them, they hold on to them.

Sadly, Armory USA has been out of business for years.
