Well I don't know,,,, 10 dollars seems a awful lot for a New Rifle..

Slap,,,Slap,, ok, ok, I'm awake,, I'm awake!!

Sure I would also be interested. :D

It'd be nice if I could just get the certificate to my local store. Since you're running the deal as you see fit, just leave it up to the winner. They may be in the middle of Kansas and have limited access.

Post your address and I'll send bucks tomorrow. If the raffle gets off the ground, that's great. If not, go ahead and keep the money and donate it.

WOW... thakns for all of the replies

I'm thinking of doing a poll to see what folks want. I too feel that the gift cert would be a good way to go, but some states might not have a particular store, or in that state they might not sell rifles.

Also, I'm trying to get a local dealer to donate or deep discount a rifle so that more of the money can go right to the charity.

Let me know what you think-

Thanks guys

Fred

Be advised, raffles and games of chance are heavily regulated. Bone up on your local law and notify the appropriate authorities.

I recently worked with a group that tried to put on a "frog race," wherein contestants would purchase a rubber frog with a number on it and float them down a stream. The winning frog would take the prize.

Unfortunately, they weren't permitted to run the race because the statute only authorized rubber duck races. Stupid, but true.

Are you serious?

:scrutiny:

Are the prejudiced against frogs… or do they just not like Kermit?

I will look into it and see if there are any legal issues.

////Rumaging through "Foggy's Emergency Good Cause" fund box...Hmmmmm Candadina quarters.....Canadian dimes....Ahhh US coins and a couple of green folding paper thingys

Yeah, I'm in for $10

Yes - Pretty cool idea too!

If it was for a prepaid visa then I'm in, I do not have a lot of big retailers in my area...

Sports Authority and Big 5 are the only larger retailers in my area.

If the government held "rifle raffles" weekly, they could solve the deficit problem... On second thought, They'd find new ways to waste the money...
