Wouldn't a CCO-size CZ be great?

I was debating trading my CZ RAMI (which is very cool) for a PCR or 75D Compact.

However, my primary use for the CZ 9mm is as a carry gun for rent-collection and evictions, and on a small/slim guy like me, (pistol) butt length is the crucial concealment factor.

As much as I'd like a little more muzzle for sight radius and smooth swing, I wouldn't like to have the extra butt to print through my cover garment.

I'm thinking something like a Colt CCO (Officer frame, Commander slide), or like those custom Glocks where they cut the G19 frame down to accept G26 mags.

Wouldn't it be great if CZ made a pistol with a RAMI (subcompact) grip, but PCR (compact) slide? If any of your PhotoShop wizards are killing time at work, it'd be cool to see...

Another plus, I could use a Kadet kit on it as well, one downside of the RAMI. The other downside of the RAMI is that there are so many cool aftermarket grips for it, but the issue rubber grips are so dang grippable!

I love my PCR, but if the grip is printing have you considered a Sig P239 oin 9mm. or a Sig P232 in .380? Just suggestions.

Good luck!

You mean something like this (forgive the crude photoshopping)?

Edit: BTW, with regard to switching to a Sig P239, it probably won't help you--I have a CZ P-01 and a Sig P239, and it turns out that they're exactly the same size (grip length, slide length, etc). It's possible that the grip shape might help in the Sig, but I'm not positive.

@ Rumble: Bingo! Way better PS-skillz than I have.

I thought that the 75D had a safety, and the PCR had a decock? If that's not the difference, then what is the difference? I know that the P-01 is a different (sturdier) aluminum frame, and has a rail. Just unclear on PCR vs 75D.

Between CZ decock and safety: it's a tossup for which I hate more, having a safety on or using a decocker that conceivably could launch a round. I almost wish there were a SA/DA CZ with neither, that you could just manually decock. But I suppose that few folks would enjoy that.

I think the "D" in 75D means "decocker," but honestly, I'm not versed in which models have what. I think I swiped the slide on that pic off of a PCR.

If you didn't mind a size increase, the 40B has a "flat" (no palm-swell) grip, much like the picture, but yes, it's a .40 S&W.

And, on guns with the de-cocker, you don't have to use it; you can manually de-cock if you wanna!

Caution! I know if you let the hammer down manually on SIG without using the decocker you bypass some of the safeties!

Speaking of Kahr, they briefly offered their "Covert" model in sold steel: MK grip with K slide.

It was dropped, and eventually somewhat-replaced by the P9 Covert.

Sometimes it seems that I'm the only one that likes small butts.

What I especially dislike is when manufacturers to the exact opposite, and put a huge honkin' grip with a tiny little slide. Oh joy! I get all the printing of the big grip, and the malf issues and short sight radius of a small slide!

What holster are you using? I am not overly large, an inch or two under 6 feet, and find my CZ PO1 rides quite easily in a Bianchi M-100 IWB.

The PCR might be easier for you to conceal, due to the lack of the M3 rail, but I cannot really tell the differance.

My wife loves her CZ2075 RAMI, and carries it either in a Bianchi fanny pack, (drawstring cleverly disguised with pink breast cancer awareness ribbon.)

Or her HBE Specialty Leatherworks COMIII IWB rig. That picture went missing, will have to do another.

All in all, it really comes down to how you carry it. The slimmest, easist carryin gun in the world, jammed in a junky cheap rig, will not be comfortable. Try looking for a few differant rigs, ask the shops if you can try them, and see what a differance it might make.
